New player on ps4 doing a nb healer and cant decide on morph... Is there a concensus which is better? Im leaning mutagen, but am also thinking i can use another bubble spell instead and get more healing from rr. Any advice?

There isn't really a consensus but I think more people go towards RR.Mutagen is nice also.

As a healer I like running Rapid Regen, I usually like the better HoT and don't need the other benefits Mutagen offers as a healer. On my non-healers that carry resto, I do run Mutagen (as it also stacks with a healer using RR, or used to at least, haven't checked since 2.0, so it was always nice to be able to throw up an extra HoT)

Personally I like the safety net you get from mutagen. Sometimes things go wrong, feces hits the windmill, and you can get a heal on someone before they die - mutagen will give them that extra second or two to let you throw heals out.

When im healing Arena with my Magicka NB i prefer Mutagen. because when one really get hard damage mutagen push him up and our hots (funnel etc) have more time to do there job...

The extra effect and heal from mutagen will only trigger if the target is currently below 20% when it is cast. This, imo, makes it crap.

It used to trigger when the target hit 20% health, but I guess this changed with 1.6

You should go test mutagen so you can see for yourself, it doesn't work that way anymore.

Get some mobs hitting you, put on mutagen, and when you get below 20% there's no extra heal until you reapply it.

Mutagen is an incrediblt cheap oh crap heal, the burst you get when applying on low health target is always bigger than the tooltip once you have the passive that increases low health healing. Effectively you push the target from critical danger I.e. from below 20% to over 50% health and get full duration of the HoT with same cost.

I like the dual purpose Mutagen (wich is a basic HoT and a front loaded HoT on low hp targets) much more on non-templar healers, where on templar I use rr. Only reason to choose otherwise for me would be the nightflame set, as you'd want as many heals as possible ticking over. But no, it's no consensus, just opinions.

20% is so so low though, you'd be better off using healing ward or breath of life, also much of the damage in the game is going to be more than 20% health.

Mutagen proccs at 20% wich with todays TTK in cyrodiil basicly makes it crap. When youre at 20% or lower, youre pretty much dead already so it doesnt help. If it procced at 35% or so, it would be much better.

Does anyone know how the targeting for mutagen works? As far as I can tell it seems pretty random with the exception that it targets players with mutagen already active last. It would be good if it auto targeted the lowest health player regardless of an active mutagen buff or not - but I haven't been able to work it out yet in pvp..

Assuming it doesn't work that way its probably better to run RR and efficient purge with healing ward on emergency..

Mutagen might become slightly better with the new incoming increased TTK. But even then 20% is very low.

I prefer Rapid Regen for topping off health bars, and Healing Ward for when people get very low. The huge damage shield helps a lot.
