Is anyone getting in today?

I have been trying to log in for 2 hours now and nothing. Someone posted earlier that they have been trying since 6 am and all servers are currently down. Just wondering if I can try something to fix this or if it's everyone. This is my first online game so I don't really know how it works, but my son said GTA was like this for about a week when they released, so here's hoping these bugs get squashed sooner!

Hahahahah yeah GTA was like this for multiple weeks. At least not being able to log in is preferable to being stuck in THE PARKING LOT OF NO RETURN

I just got logged in to NA XBox about 30 mins ago.

I had been trying since early 800 am EDt

GTA online is still like that in my experience, lol. I've never had a session go smoothly.

I do hope they have a quick fix, I'm so excited about this game and not being able to play is not cool.

I'm in the queue now, so hopefully I'm not too far out to logging in. Played Witcher 3 for a while to pass time. But this is really where my mind wanders back to. Thanks for the updates!

If you guys really want to play, try logging in on the EU server, not as many problems with that.

My husband said he saw a post that a guy logged into the EU server played all night and the next day none of his game was saved. Could be very disappointing to anyone who tries this.

DO NOT PLAY ON THE EU SERVER UNLESS YOU WANNA BE STUCK THERE FOREVER!!!

Your character is server locked, apparently. So you cannot play with your friends if they are on NA server. I'm gonna have to start all over now because I played on EU all night. >_<

In case you haven't done your research, Yes characters are server locked. You have 2 different sets of characters for EU Server and NA server.

i played at 2:30EDT on my lunch break and never even saw that login error screen. i would probably try going back to your dashboard, highlighting ESO, and selecting close application. most games stay on even if your xbox is turned off. maybe there was a bug or issue that needed it to close the game. good luck though

I tried closing the game and have shut down the console to no avail. It's been over 4 hours now and haven't gotten on at all yet! So frustrating!

I was on the xbox NA server at 11:00 cst and it seem to run fine, besides the lag of course.

did you preload the game from the store? maybe try reinstalling cause it's been working fine for a lot of people. i must have seen a few hundred people in the starting zone questing.

another thing you can try is maybe unplugging your power brick for your xbox and wait like 10 minutes. also, i wouldnt recommend using wireless for the game either,.

I was playing just fine all day today until a little after 5 pm Central Time. Went to go kill an area boss and as soon as I attacked it my whole game froze and then crashed. Crashed so hard that my entire console was lagging. I had to power it off.

I left for a bit to make a sandwich. When I came back to try to log back in, I get stuck in an invisible Log-in queue of 1 person (me) with a wait time of (supposedly) 1 second. After about 5 minutes I decided to restart the game and try to log in again. Same thing happened and I've just been sitting waiting for about 15 minutes now.

Update: No more than 3 minutes after I post this, it finally brings up the character selection screen. Would have at least liked to know it was gonna take 15 minutes instead of 1 second. Oh well. Good luck everyone else.

If I uninstall the game will I lose all of my previous game play? I unplugged the brick and plugged it back in that hasn't worked, I can uninstall but, I don't want to lose all the time I played yesterday.

You shouldn't, since the character is stored on the servers. Uninstalling prob won't help if you already did a reboot. BTW the easy way to force a reboot is to hold down the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds. No unplugging necessary.
