Another Explorers Pack question

I have a code for the Explorers Pack and entered it on my console. I have a profile on my XBox One, as do each of my 2 kids. When creating a character, I can choose from 9 races on my profile but my kids are only able to choose from 3 races on their profiles. Is the Explorers Pack only good for 1 profile on the XBox One?

It would seem your assumption is correct, though if this is intended I cannot say.

Each Profile should be it's own subscription/account. Otherwise, people would be messing with your characters when they log in or vice versa. While I am sure your kids respect your stuff, make them eat peas one night and you might log into and find an empty slot where they deleted your character.

Thank you. I figured out the answer. On my profile, all nine races appear on my character creation screen regardless of the alliance I have selected. However, on my kids profiles 3 different races appear per alliance, depending on which alliance is selected. All 9 races are available to play, they just don't all appear on the screen at the same time as they do on my profile. Not sure why my profile responds differently than theirs, but it all seems to work.

They all appear for you because your account can play them in any alliance. Their accounts can only play the the standard 3 races in each alliance.

Each Faction represents 3 Races. If you choose a Faction, you are limited to those 3 Races only. Conversely, if you want to be certain race, then you end up in the Faction for that race. The Explorer Pack removes that restriction.

Imperial can play anywhere, if you have that bonus.

Thank you, Nerio. That's what I finally figured out. Is this the way it was intended? I thought that if you had the bonus pack on your console, any player playing on that console could play any race in any alliance.

Hey there! I swear I answered your question earlier, but maybe my internet it going crazy. It is intended that only the account that purchase the game receives the bonuses. If another account wants those bonuses, a very similar package can be purchased via the crown store - adventurer's pack contains all the same perks and bonuses, with the exception that you get a guar pet instead of the scuttle.

If two people share one copy of the Imperial Edition of ESOTU on their console, do they both get the Imperial Edition perks?

While multiple players can use the same copy of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited on the same console, the Imperial Edition and Explorer's Pack perks apply to individual player accounts rather than to the console itself. Players will need to redeem unique Imperial Edition and Explorer's Pack codes on their PlayStation Network or Xbox Live Gold accounts in order to receive the perks.

I feel that this is not intended and something that should be brought up to Microsoft.

So while things like Crowns and virtual coins for other games are account specific normally an add-on of content (not consumables) is account wide on xbox at least for your home console.

Very strange indeed and possibly ZOS has some light to shed if this is a restriction they put in place to avoid players from buying 1 imperial edition for 12 friends and all logging in to one console to create their character and then go back home.

Thank you, MissBizz. That answered my question perfectly. I was under the impression that If I had the Explorers Pack on my console, any player playing on that console would have the perks. Obviously, my impression was wrong. Anyway, as long as I get the perks, who cares about the kids? Hahaha.

Isneakl...That was my initial impression, as well. All other DLC's I have purchased in the past were account wide on the console, so I just assumed that it would be the same with the Bonus Pack.
