I got into the EU server but I am NA

Am I now trapped on the eu server forever? The na server is asking me to start fresh. I played all night. Do I have to start over on the NA server tomorrow? And why was my beta character not saved? This has been a very frustrating and disappointing launch...

Same problem here with being locked in the wrong server! It's a bit annoying because there was no warning for this

There is no character transfer, you will have to restart on NA. Wiping beta characters is a normal procedure, it was testing, not early access. Characters on the test server on PC also can never be used on normal servers.

Yeah my googling indicated the characters were server locked on PC. Is this true for console?? If so, this is ***. Your servers were the ones *** up and now I have to start all over. You didn't even warn people not to do that, even knowing things were currently a ***. Not cool. I should just return the *** thing.

Well for lag reasons and friend reasons I don't think sticking with the EU server is the best idea for me. I'm debating it tho.

haha just wondering. I'm in NA and have been playing on the EU server with none of the problems that the NA server has. I live in Ohio. But I don't really know much about how servers worked so i just figured i would still be able to play with my friends once they got it haha.

Can anyone answer that for us? We will be able to play with friends who are on the NA server? I doubt it...

I mean if OUR CHARACTERS WON'T EVEN TRANSFER SERVERS >_< then i doubt we could play with people on the other server

You would think so tho, considering that the whole point of being online is so you can play with peeps across the globe. I mean, I know i have definitely played other games with some brits before who were most likely on an EU server haha. Or maybe those games only had one server? Hmm, is it common for online multiplayer games to have different servers for each country/continent?

This seems different because they split the load into 2 megaservers, EU and NA. If our character is server locked then I doubt we can play with people on the other server.

You can't play with people on the other server. You also can't play with people in a different faction (except against each other in PvP), in case anyone was wondering.

I have no idea about small scale multiplayer games, but it's normal for MMOs.

cant you just change the server on the screen before login??? i can move to EU from NA if i wanted to but the characters are created per server. you will just need to recreate your character on NA

Yeah you can but since NA is trashed you might not get in. I am warning people to no make an EU character like me because the game is stupid and doesn't universally save your character.

i was just logged into NA about an hour ago and my friend is playing on NA as we speak. for MMOs they have never allowed characters to be used on different servers especially if they are separated by region. just recreate your toon on NA and problem solved
