So I went to cancel my sub tonight after reading forums today. Well this is what I wrote, let me know if you agree or don't.

I went to cancel my subscription because it was the last straw on forums where you guys are answering problem threads with the Xbox1 and PS4 people but for over the last year you have ignored all posts concerning issues in the PC/MAC area. Only questions really answered by a mod on the forums was to lock it or to say to follow code of conduct.

I can't see paying you guys any longer if you are just going to ignore us on the PC/MAC side. so anyway when I went to cancel this is what you said.

"Oh no! We're sorry you've chosen to end your membership. If you find yourself missing the great ESO Plus™ benefits, you can join again at any time!

If there is anything we can do to live up to your expectations please let us know. You can contact us directly from our help site at help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/home."

Answering our questions and also letting us know the exact road map for PC/MAC would be nice in the last year. But right now we all feel like you just wanted our money and plan on closing the PC/MAC side down. The way you have treated us, it sure seems like that is exactly what you are going to do.

Just so you know when I read that while canceling I really had to laugh. Just the word expectations turn me into a fit of laughter.

I feel it. I've been subbed since beta/launch, thought I would continue to for a long while to come. However, my interest have waned a bit. I still continue to pop on and do stuff, but my payment method expired and I forgot to change it.

So I got a "your sub has been cancelled because payment failed" email. I looked at it for a while and just couldn't find a reason to bring myself to fix the issue an resub. I always championed hard about how ZOS is trying and whatnot. Truthfully though, in trying to defend ZOS it's been pretty much the exact same battle since launch.

I probably could have just made a response template and copy/pasted it and there would have been no difference.

I actually took a short break to play some single player games and realized stress levels and concern about what will break this time or what build of mine will get ruined next were gone.

Ah well. I'll still continue to plug along on ESO probably, just not daily like I was. It's just a shame really.
And so did many brave men, women, and beast fall to the end of Beta, never to be heard from again. All that is left, is whispers of the adventures they had.

Not passing (much) comment but here is the text of the article for the people who can't get past the age-gate:
Console launch day is here! To celebrate the worldwide release of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited on Xbox One and PlayStation®4, we have a letter from Game Director Matt Firor, a new gameplay trailer, and launch week festivities to share with you.

We're excited to welcome you to ESOTU's official launch on Xbox One and PlayStation®4. To commemorate this important day, we have a special message to share from Game Director Matt Firor.

Today is a huge day for console Elder Scrolls players, as well as all of us here at ZeniMax Online Studios. Today marks the release of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for Xbox One and PlayStation®4 consoles. It's finally time to invite our console community to experience Tamriel in the remote Second Era. We've put a ton of time and energy into making the console versions of ESOTU polished and fun - featuring a completely new User Interface specifically designed for console controller play, as well as a custom voice chat system engineered to make meeting and interacting with other players easy and fun.

I want to take this moment to thank our community of fans and players, without whom this moment could not have happened. Thank you all so much for your dedication, ideas, commentary, and general awesomeness. You are the reason why we do what we do. And of course, kudos to the team at ZeniMax Online, who have been working long hours to ensure that ESOTU on consoles is amazing and fun.

But we're not done with the launch, of course. We're continuing to work on new content, which we'll talk about soon after console launch. We're committed to always fix problems as we find them, and continuing to ensure that the community is happy and having fun. You are all in for a great time in Tamriel, and we are honored and excited to be the studio that has brought you this experience. Log in, meet some new friends, and adventure through Tamriel. Enjoy the ride! And as always, stay tuned for the next interesting things that we'll be creating for you. – Matt

Every hero's story begins somewhere. Whether you're taking your first steps in Tamriel today, or continuing your journey on Xbox One and PS4™, a new beginning awaits. Watch our latest trailer, in which one hero's legendary journey through Tamriel unfolds.

We're holding a week-long giveaway event to commemorate ESOTU's console launch. Entering is as easy as playing on one of the console megaservers. Simply log in between June 9th and Monday, June 15th, play for at least six hours, and you'll be entered to win some ESOTU loot! (Some restrictions apply. Here is how I read that:
Community of Fans = Console players screaming "WHENZ GONNA BE MAH TYME!?!?!"
    Players = PC players
Without whom this moment could not have happened = Subscription.

"But we're not done with the launch, of course. We're continuing to work on new content, which we'll talk about soon after console launch."

    Aaaah... "Soon". heheh

Ok. I kidd. I think it's fine. The letter is to make console players feel welcome. What could he have said that wouldn't have been... awkward?

Why wouldn't you wait till after E3? IF they don't answer anything at all there I'll be super pissed, I'm also a day 1 subscriber, played in the beta and have almost everything on the severely overpriced crown store. The lack on content was known for awhile, we knew it would be at least a few months AFTER console release. I've more or less been waiting for news of content and have not actually been playing for a few months already. I kind of see myself as sponsoring ZoS until they get back on track.

It is really obvious they are favoring the consoles but they are also trying to succeed this time around, so they will have to get content out for them at some point, because it doesn't take too long to get max levels with groups especially with the nerfs that happened that made everything from all VR's to bosses like Doshia immensely easier. I'd say 2-3 months on average for people to reach that point where they are waiting for new stuff.

But, with E3 right around the corner, consoles being launched now I really think they will start to commit to releasing content on a regular schedule, especially now we either have to sub or pay for DLC. Which I might do both if Sub's don't equal me actually owning the content.

Personally I just want this game to do amazing and thrive, because I love the Elder Scrolls lore. That's the only reason for me spending so much, if it was any other MMO I'd be long gone.

Consoles are just a big speed bump we need to endure. Now comes all the neat content they showed us all year. And then some....

Consoles sales are great for ESO, even for me who dont like them. We get rid of players from PC servers to the Consoles ones and ZoS gets cash to give us more cool things!

Reading these forums now vs just months ago is an eyeopener.

Orsinium and Imperial City DLC now please!
Ps. I have subscribed since pre launch. Still happy subscribing.

    Wow.
I don't recall PC players being offered anything close to that and I don't really count numerous bugs, ugly changes to armour styles, and half assed promises as "prizes"
I never wanted to be "that" person, who keeps moaning or complaining, especially when I really do love the game, and used to pay for 2 subs, one of which I have now let lapse, but that's really.... not right.
I've always tried to give the devs the benefit of the doubt, and put up with the fact that I believed they were really trying, but no new content for ages, a year + of *** ups, suffering through nerfs and class balances and PC players get like an ice wraith and a couple of other pets to say thanks, and the console kiddies get those nice things?

    Really disappointed.

ETA - It's not just about "things" or prizes. It's more about the fact that more thought and more consideration has seemed to go into console than it has to us PC players.
Over the last 12 + months I've seen people complain that as customers they've felt under appreciated and felt like paid Beta Testers. I always thought that probably a little excessively harsh.
    Until now.
I can understand where they're coming from, seeing that. They've spent the last year paying to play a game, that, while incredible, is new and bound to have a myriad of glitches and issues. They're reported bugs, tried to give ideas, feedback, class improvements, quest and world improvements, and all for nothing but love of the game. Some have given up, unsubbed and left. Some are still trying. All so that console players can be rewarded like that, for doing bugger all, while they, the PC folk, sit on the sidelines still waiting for something new to do and using their ice wraith to chill drinks while they wait.

That's really a rotten way to treat your customers.

I agree @BlueViolet. It's not the specific items or the number of items, it's the consideration and preferential treatment.

It's kind of like that person who puts ALL their time, effort and energy in to their best friend hoping that their best friend will see what a great person they are and their best friend will realize that they belong together. All along, the best friend acts uninterested in wanting anything more than just being friends, even to the point of appearing to not be interested in being in a relationship with anyone.

Then that best friend meets a new person, showers them with adulation, attention, and gifts and the next thing you know... the best friend is engaged.

First, I am not sure why you would think that in a trailer and public relations letter designed to promote the games release on consoles they should talk about what is going to or has happen with the PC game version. Second, when this game launched the Devs responded in the same frequency to us are they are doing for them. Third, the prizes are nice however you must remember they are trying to overcome a negative image some have of this game generated over the past 14 months. Additionally,l there were a few contests with prizes over the course of the PC roll out. I recall one which had an imperial edition as a prize. Fourth, they stated that we would not see any major content till after the dust has settled on the console release prior to the release of 1.6. Finally, remember that increased revenue from the consoles benefits us as well as it means more funds for development. Yes the coding et al is different for each system however content will be developed for the game as a whole then modified for each system whether is is PC, PS3 or Xbox.

lol I was wondering when someone was going to post that video and a comment about the rewards its only 10. I will admit that I was pretty pissed at first only because a few days before I put in my deposit for the elf and brit. statues. I was going to post but decided to wait and think about it and see if in about an hour I really cared. The truth is after an hour I really didn't care I went back to playing ESO and moved on.

Who am I to dictate to a company on how they promo their game, I play and sub the game because I enjoy it. If I didn't enjoy it I'd be an adult and just walk away with no comments nothing just walked away. But, for myself I still find joy in the game though there are times that the silence of the road ahead and the constant this is on back burner on new content can be upsetting and make me question why continue to give money. For myself I keep going because its only been a year and I will give them a chance because it is console release time and I'm sure they have been working very hard at getting console to work.

As a matter of fact I'm pretty sure that the reason is they pooled most, if not all of their working pool into getting console out is well money. I probably can't even begin to understand how much money it costs to make a game now a days let alone one for three platforms and an MMO. Not to mention all the technical people you have to have to deal with pc and everyone's pc build, then each type of console and it has to work all the added stuff that each console has for its own online users. Not to mention having to deal with gamers, my god if I based society off of these forums and other gaming forums I'd have to slit my wrists now and give up on society as a whole because damn people some of you need to get laid, get drunk, smoke some weed, jerk-off, do something to release all that tension and rage going on. This is just a game, this isn't real life, there are far more important things in the world to get upset about do something about.

I'm sure they read these posts, skim through some, and some like this they ignore. Not because they don't care but when you come down to it, this post has been done before. This isn't to take away from your sense of needing "closure" or your need to vent your frustration but, the bottom line is this type of thread has been done before many times. lol I did notice that thread that a moderator commented on about you bumping and thought that was pretty lame of them. I had a thread locked and deleted and all I was, was saying May 4th be with people and Zos in their upcoming console realize and had it locked because it wasn't productive or something like that. And only thing I could think of was you f***ing fascist. I think when it comes to moderators you get those that interpret the rules differently in some areas or are looser in their enforcing it in other areas.
When asked what he would do for a Klondike bar. Grand Moff Tarkin said "why I would blow up Alderaan."
