Hopefully it's not going to be a "lets hold off till console players burn though the current content available before we push out more." scenario. If that's the case, new content wouldn't hit until fall.

Honestly.... the PC players that are still around will probably stick around despite pretty much anything.

So what I don't understand is .... If Zos has put -off focusing on anything PC related till after the Console launch, because they they did not have the people to spare, to work on both projects at once.

How do they think that they now have the people to handle two separate (three, if you count both console manufacturing platforms separate) Platforms?

They have already cut back their staffing levels; prior to console launch, so.... ????

Can someone explain this to me?

This is sounding like poor management decision making.

Well, sticking to purely business perspectives, like I like to do. There is the dark but unlikely option that they already know it's doomed and it's simply a cash grab before a bust. Many businesses have done this or simalar types of things. One company will buy out another sometimes just to close it down and sell off its assets because that is deemed more profitable. Or a new CEO will take over a business just to prime it for a sale and merger which often times results in thousands of people losing their jobs and alienation of larger portions of an existing customer base.

All that aside, the future of ESO and of the PC players now rests in the hands of how well the console sales perform. It needs to be VERY successful, both to bring in some much needed funds, and as a morale boost to ZOS.

The scary part is not one person from ZoS responded to this thread. I can think of 2 reasons.

    1. They are just laughing this off and thinking there they go again.

    2. They really are going to close PC/MAC down and can't say anything.

This has been happening for a while, but if you check recent discussions, ZOS is currently only responding to console related threads. Only person I've really seen responding to PC related threads is Wheeler, and that was yesterday.

well if just pc players are red headed step children the pvp players must be the red headed step children of the red headed step child, from red headed parents.

Streamers should be streaming console version. That's where all the new players are.

It makes sense that ZOS is devoting their efforts to the console because that's where the new action is right now. ESO on the PC side is going to drop for a while longer I think. The total number of sales tracked by MM (not just my sales) for the trading guilds I'm in have been falling for the last three weeks.

Well given console hasn't been live for three weeks the fall in sales can't be because of that.

But it can be because of players leaving because it is becoming clear PC has been sidelined and no one cares about it any more.

ZOS, right now your PC player base is bleeding morale, disenfranchised by a perceived console bias, canceling their subs and going into hibernation, or just walking away for other games.

It's time for a morale booster. Let us know what the future holds for us PC players! It's time! No really it's time. :)

Maybe Fallout 4 will be out soon. : /

I think many PC players transferring to the console played their characters, main and alts, less and less as we got closer to the transfer date. Why work to progress characters that you won't be playing much in the future?

Fallout 4 will probably release on Oct 23rd 2015 because in the lore October 23rd 2077 is the day the bombs fell. This is also why sometimes when you go into stores in the game you see Halloween decorations :)

ZOS could grab cash fast if they put effort in the right things. Faction transfers and race changes will quickly net them cash. Saying that I also have to wonder if the ship is sinking and the silence is due to them needing to milk as much as they can.

Name changes, race changes, faction changes, barbershop/character recustmization, player housing, content unlocks or expansions. These are longevity creating services and items.

Random loot bags, costumes, mounts, pets, xp boosts, buffs, in game gold. These items are fast cash that prey on twitch buyers or those that are impatient. These items tend not to create longevity but more of a "hey cool!" And then five minutes later "did I really just spend 9.99 on that?!?" Reaction. Buyers remorse. No refunds. K I just feel bad about myself now...

Even a simple response "hey hold tight guys, we haven't forgot about the PC!" People would go wild.

Devs won't touch a thread like this for fear of any response being misconstrued as confirmation or denial.

I started this thread to promote community conversation on the lack of reassurance from the devs but never expected them to comment.

I'm still incredibly confused on that whole loyalty program. They had a loyalty program when the game REQUIRED a sub. Then when you have the option to sub...no loyalty program :P

I really don't expect a response to the thread. We probably won't hear anything till E3. Which by the way E3 seems to have a PC focus this year! :)
