Won't let me buy ESO + with Xbox credit

I would like to get ESO plus but only gives one option which asks for a credit card. I have credit in the Xbox store I've been saving up to use and would like to use it. How do I go about using it?

    Gamestop told me to buy a $15 card of xbox credit to use for eso plus and it doesn't let me. Wtf. Help

    Since you are trying to buy something on the Xbox store using Microsoft Xbox credits... have you tried contacting Microsoft support?

    ESO folks won't be able to help you here.
    I have approximate knowledge of many things.

    i guess its because of the auto renewal , needing a credit card

    Same problem, thought it would work with Xbox Marketplace. Quess that was not 100% true...
