    deleted ftc using AUI now new ftc gave me lots of errors when customizing stuff and even fps drops in pvp to around 1 fps lol

    Does it show the DPS of the whole group? Or do you mean you can look at individual players and see "Jane has 18,142 DPS" or "Joe has 4,234 DPS", etc?

    So just turn FTC off. Short of the really hardcore trial guilds, which if you are a part of them you probably already post your dps at least 4 or 5 times per trial anyway, most guilds probably won't enforce FTC usage.

    I use aui and combat cloud. The ftc caused lag spikes for me in pve. Maybe once it's fixed I will try again.

    AUI and CC here, never touched FTC once and don't plan on doing it any time soon. None of the Guilds I run with are that obsessed with min-maxing or FOTM builds or anything like that, so there's never been an issue where I've needed to prove I can deal max DPS or anything overly-detailed like that.

    @T3hOwnage69, @King Bozo , how did you determine FTC was the cause of your frame loss/lag?

    After last patch I'm getting some horrible spikes again (I've seen as high as 12+ seconds, in one case) and client server disconnect during fights. Will happily replace with something else if FTC turns out to be the cause.

    @lolo_01b16_ESO , there are some addons that can view information about certain aspects of party members, FTC will show active buffs when you hover over another individual. Also, there is an addon that will show what each group member loots, though I do not recall the name. I suspect more information is available than you would like.

    personally, I turned that feature off.
    But if my guild would ever start working towards leaderboards (unlikely to happen), I can certainly see the appeal of that nifty function...

    I wanted to pick "Fine either way" but missclicked on "I hate it"

    Its both good and bad.
    Good becasue now you can actually see if your DPS is a DPS. I heard stories where someone really wanted to go to VET DSA but he was vet10 and tank with poor dps so noone would take him to tank VET14 dungeon. What did he do? Just equipped 2hand sword and now declared himself a dps.
    With group DPS you can take individual like that to a test, tell him to kill something as fast as possible and see his DPS.

    And why its bad? Because mentioned above, people knowing that values, dps of group will start setting unrealistic standards, categorising people and restricting parties leaving some people out of the game because they have 10100.999 dps and not 10101 <exaggerating here but i think you know what i mean>

    As a Sorc with around 2k spell damage and 30k magika, I can hardly do 6k dps spamming the only spammable spell I have, force pulse, interleaved with medium attacks :'(

    another elitist bs like rift...now people will be forced to have certain builds for each and every class to maximize their dps in particular..killing build diversity particularly if you want to play with random people..they ask for certain amount of dps or kick..you want to get that dps you have to go for those builds.
    what if i want to play dps/heal templar but in heavy armor.
    one of the most strongest feature of elder scroll games was the build diversity where you could be mage in heavey armor..this game is getting away from ES universe more and more...that is not good for it.

    it'll probably get removed/disabled.

    this feature was part of the basic API but was intentionally removed after beta specifically because ZOS didn't want it to be a potential feature in the game. so whatever work around they found, it will likely get disabled at some point in the future, seeing as ZOS explicitly didn't want this to be possible.

    Bad idea and I thought this was something that ZOS did not want in the add-ons, now it will just reek of leet players blasting some poor guy who's dps is off by a few points, because oh heck better to belittle them then try to help them it seems. /fail

    Could be used as nice tool to help folks improve their dps give them some tips but it won't be in most cases, which is sad.

    My sorcerer is v8 and can do up to 14k dps if there is no lag to interrupt the spellweave and animation cancel. Does that mean i will be accepted in vDSA? Doubt it very much. There are far more factors involved than just DPS alone.

    ....i love FTC and use it a lot, but i never even know this existed lol

    is it a bad thing? i dont think so. most people who knows about it will use, others don't.

    i dont think it will be a trend of "you must use FTC and we must see your DPS" any time soon.

    i still PUG a lot of end-game content these days and MAYBE 1 out of 10 groups would ask, what's your DPS?



    most of the time it will still go "LF DPS, TANK, HEALER" and that's the end of it.
