It is interesting to see... I think all MMOs must have their fair share of "this game is dying" naysayers, when the reality is far from it. Just because a person doesn't enjoy the game does not mean it is dying- obviously the fact that these players are still on here commenting shows the impact the game has had on them- for good or ill.

Second, PC players were never expected to be the majority, the real long-term income stems from consoles, and this is why they have focused so much on console launch. If the game is to survive, it has to generate a strong console population, which it will. They also didn't want to create a "PC reward" and risk angering the console crowd by offering new content to the PC version simply because some PC players had been playing since launch or beta. They wanted to have the console version launch at the same stage as the PC version, which I completely understand. I just find it odd that veteran players seem to develop this sense of 'entitlement' simply because they've played a game for a long period of time... when in reality, they are no better than someone new just starting the game. You may have put more money into the game, but you've also played the game and since you stuck around, clearly received enjoyment from it. So why is it you think you should receive some sort of reward, when the reward should be the game itself? If it is no longer rewarding, then move on, why stick around and complain and try to bring everyone else down? Being constructive is one thing, but I've seen more 'poor me' rants than much in regards to being constructive. It is clear they are focused on console launch, this has been clear for months, WHY continue to complain about it? It is what it is, accept it or move on. Obviously they have plans for the future, being negative is not going to speed up or alter their course.

I was thinking about that last week. Console release is this upcoming Tuesday, they should have been done with console development by now and trying to fix the outstanding bugs. Maybe the devs are being rewarded by granting them some time off.

After Tuesday, ZOS can't hide behind the console is priority anymore.

    No... they can't. I can't wait. :naughty:

There is no such thing as being 'done' with anything related to a MMO. They still had a window between then and Tuesday where they could still work on bugs that were present in the Console version. Why would they suddenly stop working because 'most' of it is finished?

Its never about announcing it. Its about kicking up others feelings about the game and hoping they too will share their disappointment, frustration, anger or hatred for the game.

Cant wait to hear what the next excuse will be for not updating PvP content since launch and leaving a ton of templar skills in a broken buggy state.

And yes to who ever said it was bad management. I can just smell the project management issues from here. Especially with the Templar Bug vs Feature debacle.

Slower development is the price for no subscription requirement.

They had months and months pf PC players paying a sub -- almost no new content was released outside of Craglorn... which was in the works before the game even launched. Instead we paid to beta test a game with mind boggling flaws that made it hard to see it as an MMO.

This game is was and always will be an utter disappointment with the large majority. Everything was handled poorly. Instancing, quests, public dungeons, loot distribution -- Hands down made this least social 'MMO' I have ever played.

This should never have launched in the state it did, at the price it did, for as long as it did. If B2P leads to even slower development, I expect no new content at all to come out -- or be in the form of one yearly overpriced expansion.

There is new content on the horizon.
Said content of course was announced 9 months ago back in the 'good old P2P days' , Imperial City was even said to be close to being finished at that time.

Then ZOS held it back so they could charge $$$ for it, meanwhile we who were paying to play were left with nothing new for the best part of a year if we aren't into 1990s gorup-or-die dungeon grinding: PVPers have had nothing either.

Once the B2P decision was made, release of new content became secondary. They had already made promises for console release and were substantially behind on their schedule. Whether this was due to incompetence or unrealistic ambition is a matter of speculation. As the b2p system had to go through the development process, we can pretty safely assume it was being made alongside the upcoming content for at least a month or two. So I have to agree with the bolded statement. Which makes the b2p system responsible.

Semiannually sounds about right for .major content releases. They have a bunch queued up right now and could probably continue to develop new content and release it on a schedule.

Most devs work on a game up until it is shipped. In today's age, after it shipped they work on the day one patch until the day before and sometimes only a few hours before it is uploaded.
And after it shipped they still have a good month to use that excuse as they will be HEAVILY monitoring consoles for outstanding bugs that may have slipped through, potential bot cases, console specific exploits etc.
I would not expect to hear one word about any DLC until August.

I think what (many) people are upset about is the potential this game has, especially when it falls short in some areas.

There were a lot of requested features that existed at one point, and were removed, as well as problems with bugs/implementation that frustrates the player base.

People tend to take it personally when something they love doesn't meet their expectations.

Yes i can personally say that its hard to watch something you love been ruined by people who are making some very odd decisions. Worse im worried what their actions will have on the future of Elder Scrolls as a franchise especially when they introduce things that are not lore abiding.

I enjoy the Game as well. I actually like the game despite having a gimped toon. But I have other toons so I work around the issues that will be fixed. I have fun I help people. And If @ZOS does not want to sell their second car to buy us plushies. They can sell of old office furniture, Mice pads, Knick Knacks and Lemonade. It gets hot In Md. / D.C in the summer. All of the players here deserve/desire Guar Plushies, Netch Plushies, and it would be awesome to have a Khajiit Plushie. @ Gina_Bruno Canz wez haz plushiez.

Technically they are not in the DC area anymore that's where Bethesda, Maryland is, it sit on the NW border of Washington DC. They moved their offices to Hunt Valley, Maryland which is north of Baltimore far enough north that it isn't even really a suburb of that city. How do I know, you might ask. I simply reply look and my UsedID and guess where I live.
