You can buy the digital version of ESO off the PS store or the Xbox One store & start downloading RIGHT NOW!, but you're making us, the people who have been supporting you (some of us for over a year) wait till the day before release ....
Ya'know I wanna say this surprises me but, with all the other crap ZOS has pulled with the console release it really doesn't anymore
THIS!!!!!!!
Ya I know, but going by the prior e-mail I was expecting the codes to be send out later today or possibly tomorrow at the latest ... not the day before release!Thank you for purchasing The Elder Scrolls® Online: Tamriel Unlimited™ for Console with account copy.
Your account will be copied from PC/Mac to console on June 1, 2015, at 10AM EDT. Shortly after your account is copied from PC/Mac to the console of your choice, you will receive your digital game code for The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited.
But with the way things have been going with this console release ... I guess "shorty after" in ZOS-speak is better than "before the end of June" *eye-roll*
Well here is the thing.....according to the ZOS staff

Players who preorder ESOTU through either the Xbox Marketplace or PlayStation Store will be able to pre-download the game prior to its June 9 release. Additionally, PC/Mac players who are eligible for and purchase the transfer to console will be able to pre-download. If you pre-ordered or purchase a copy of ESOTU for consoles from a retailer, you will not be able to pre-download. It's also worth noting that unlike the PC/Mac beta client, which was able to be updated on launch day to the live version, the beta client for consoles cannot be updated in this way; rather, players will require a fresh install / new client when the live version is available (either for pre-download or from a retail purchase). Hope this helps clarify!
I swear @NewBlacksmurf with all the "white-knighting" you do for ZOS you MUST be on thier pay-roll!
Nope, I have just been around a lot where you have to write down people's words as they soon forget when it time to deliever on their words and promises.
Ok I've read this about a dozen times & I still don't understand what the hell you mean by this???

I'mm just pointing out the quoted statement that we would be able to "pre-download" which in context to the thread, was to happen prior to the game releasing. Giving someone a code on June 8 doesn't allow "everyone" who fits their comment to pre-download so I'm asking ZOS if this is yet another false statement by them.
ZOS statment:
"Additionally, PC/Mac players who are eligible for and purchase the transfer to console will be able to pre-download. If you pre-ordered or purchase a copy of ESOTU for consoles from a retailer, you will not be able to pre-download. "
Another user then asked:
So those of us who did the console transfer, the game will show up as purchased on the Xbox Marketplace or PlayStation Store and we just download it from there? I ask because the console transfer never once took me to the console store
ZOS responds again:
"If you purchased the PC/Mac to console transfer, you'll receive an e-mail in the coming weeks with instructions on exactly how the transfer works and any instructions you need to follow. You'll also receive a digital code that will allow you to access the game on the console you selected. Keep an eye on your e-mail for that information! "
This is all under the same context of the original question in the thread name:
Pre download/grace period for people who pre ordered physical edition of ESO Bookmark
OP questions:
That is something I am thinking about since beta...
I pre-ordered for release date delivery, a while ago, the physical imperial edition of ESO.
I lke physical games, maps and can not resist to the book (I collect tes books).
So, if I remember correctly PC players who preordered the physical IE were able to play before receiving the game, they did not have to wait all day for the delivery then install the game. I can be wrong...
I mean it is not a big deal but I would really love to have this option and don't feel pushed to download the regular version on the Xbox store to be able to pre download and then play at 12.01 on release. Please Zos react about this...
Obviously it is not about the beta but it is console specific.

@Zenimax, even though I've received the email saying my copy is complete, can I double check it wasn't an automated thing sent out to all players?
Just want to make sure the EU has been done and isn't being done during maintenance tonight.

The copy of the European and North-American database happened at the same time and wasn't related to the maintenance. Your characters - even if they live on the EU megaserver - have been copied.
NewBlacksmurf wrote: »@zenimax can you all address the concern I raised about staff posts specifically identifying those who purchased a console transfer would be able to pre-download the game ready to play prior to 12:01am June 9th
Sending codes out on June 8th does not do such nor does the June 8th date align with your knowledge base articles.
We also see the term "shortly" after the copy is completed on June 1rst, where in the adj. definition means:
1. in a short time; soon.
2. briefly; concisely.
In context to those articles posted above shortly is the wrong adjective if the intent is in 7 days which exceeds a week in time and not by definition, shortly

Same here, still waiting on the email here.
ZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »The account copy is actually just wrapping up. Everyone that's eligible should receive a confirmation email shortly!
i'll just start my download as soon as I get my key. As long as the Playstation network cooperates, I should have it in plenty of time for the launch on the 9th.

Mirra_Halfelven wrote: »You know the more I think about this the more displeased I am about the situation ... the cut off date for transfers was May 9th, they had a full 3 weeks before the character copy today in which they KNEW EXACTLY how many keys they needed for both the PS4 transfers & the Xbox One transfers.
They had more than enough time to have the keys in place for today.
