Console Change requests - before it has even released...

I have been playing ESO on PC since the Console launch was displayed - and I think it's a fantastic game. I'm excited that in just under two weeks, I'll get to play it on console - my preferred method of gaming.

I understand that there will have to be a few changes to suit the consoles, but there are a few things I was dismayed to hear had been implemented. I doubt they can be changed before the release - but I'd like to reach out to Zenimax and ask them to look into these issues, which I think several people have been saddened by.

1) Show character names instead of consoleIDs. Or at least as well as. I don't care if someone is called a bunch of swear words from when they were nine years old. I want to know who their character is. I'd rather see no name than the console username, if I'm honest.

2) Remove the "Become Emperor" trophy/achievement. I mean, not only is this going to be ridiculously hard to get, it depends on your entire alliance in PvP being able to take all six keep, but each attempt could take a month or so (I don't know how long the planned campaigns are). On other forums I've seen people say that they aren't going to buy the game because they hate getting 99.99% completion on trophies. Keep the in-game achievement! There needs to be some recognition for the accomplishment! But get rid of the console one. I like platinum trophies, but I have a job... I can't be in PvP all day.

3) I've heard rumours that there will be no way to tell how long you have played in the console version... I don't know if this is true or not, as it was one comment on one forum. But if it is, please add a playtime count to maybe the character select screen for each character? With skyrim, the first thing people would ask each other is "how many hours have you played?" And I think this is a good point of comparison between characters - both with your own and other people's.

Finally... and this is not a request for the game but for the forum... can you open the PS4/XB1 forums soon? They would surely have been a better place for this post?

Despite these serious misgivings - I am excited to finally enter Tamriel again on my favourite gaming system, and am looking forwards to trying out the new control system and UI :-).

ZOS has said the general chat forum will be for all versions

Guild recruit will have its own console section and help forum will have its own but otherwise we will all be together

Looks like the forums are going to turn into a toxic flame fest then. Sticking the PS4, Xbox and the PC master race all in the same place is the same as sticking the bloods and cribs in the same room. It's not going to end well.

The group I was running with this morning went from 2 center keeps owned to Emperor in ~ 6 hours in the non-vet campaign (which btw, is much more fun these days than the regular campaigns because of the much longer time to kill without min/maxed players and the nearly 2:1 health to magicka and stamina ratio everyone runs with.)

It's not hard when everyone is coordinating with voice chat.

I completely agree with this. I really don't want my COD name to be used on my ESO character, let alone every one of my characters. Nothing is going to be more lore breaking than this... I really hope this is something that gets changed in the future.

A place where everything and nothing exists, this is my playground.

My understanding was that the console displays the character name where the PC/Mac version displays the character name.

Maybe I understood that wrong. (EDIT: I did, but I am still thinking they did say that the reticule displays character name)

It seems to me that, of all the achievements/trophies, this is the most important one to have visible outside of the game. I mean, I do get that it might end up on the "trophies that are not worth it" list, but if I was Emperor, I would want it.

As long as I can hide this information from my wife, I am all for it.
