View distance improvement

Current Max view distance in ESO at the moment is Tiny. WHY? It ruins most of the beautiful landscapes in the game because I can't see them! Please ley players turn up view distance more than the current Max. If it damages framerate then people can turn it down and not have it on Max! But On Max it should allow people to see WAY further than it currently does.

Eso max distance is much greater and distant than every other mmo i know. Where is your problem ?

I hate the fact that when I want to see a beautiful landscape I can only see 10 meters in front of myself and the rest is blocked by a dull grey wall. Also there is no reason as to not increase it.

Even further? Really? I mean, most of the time I have the distance view at 25, sometimes I turn it up to 100 for special screenshots. To me, it looks ok.
But yeah, as an option, I always agree, since I don't have to use it myself

I remember Morrowind; I used to play it in vanilla for ages until I installed TONS of mods, including the MGE. When it was installed, I was rather disappointed since it reveals every single thing from so far away. You could see the Red Mountain from the Azura's Coast, f.e. .. I prefer to see it shortly before I get there, it's more exciting somehow (although the far distance view does look good and more realistic in a way).
But, it's a matter of taste.. if we could turn it up even more, so be it

His problem is things one starts to notice over time.

For instance, the green smoke lure pots that those idiot Remly brothers place. They spray green smoke high into the air. That is, at least when you are close enough.

The guy asks you to go to the other ones and put traps there.

Okay. Sounds easy enough. Look to the sky. Find the green plumes of smoke.

Players like me turn off the quest location indicators and compass off (because they are idiotic and defeat the point of using my head--I like using my head and being involved instead of running to a dot on my map or magic floating ui elements).

Problem is, you can't see the green plumes of smoke because the view distance isn't great enough. You walk and walk and then magically 100 feet ahead the plume and item shows.

That's the problem, in just one of many example.

Another example? How about all the "go to the tower"--"what tower. I don't see one because it didn't flipping load this far away". For reference, I play on High settings.

You are basically saying you've only played Neverwinter, because every other mmo out there has quite a view distance when compared to ESO and NW.

It's because with small View distance you lose that WOW FACTOR of looking over a Vast, beautiful landscape from the top of a Mountain you have just Climbed. I'll use the mountain In Cydodil for an Example, at the top you can see a few Lox Textured trees and a thick wall of Dull Grey Fog, blocking you from seeing the world.

He means the camera's ability to zoom out further from his player char not how far he can see from his player char...
