Have a similar issue. I crash a LOT in Craglorn. And by crash I mean black screen and if I can manage to get the crash reporter to come up and close the game, I have a notification that the drivers crashed. If I can't get it to come up and close the game, it just means that everything is frozen and the only way I can get back in is to reboot my computer.

I crash in other places, but Craglorn is by far the most common location. And since it's also basically a big group only zone, my progress has come to a near complete stop now that I've just completed Cadwell's gold, as I don't want to burden groups with a member who has to reboot every ten minutes.

The only workaround I found is switching to windowed mode and reducing the size of it to about the same size as a smartphone. Of course, that's highly impractical. Also quite risky because the game will also crash if I happen to click outside the window. :disappointed:

    Nvidia.

Really, REALLY hoping it's not a hardware issue because if it is, I'm screwed. I do not have the money to fix it right now. So far though, all my troubleshooting leads me to suspect it's some kind of conflict involving the driver. Whether that conflict is between the driver and something in the game or the driver and windows or something else, I just don't know.

ok finally a discovery made!! anyone having this issue go to newegg look up gfx cards apparently R7-R9 series gfx cards have a list of issues and are 55% faulty straight out of the box. if not faulty they become faulty in a few weeks to a couple months.

list of known issues with r7 and r9 (of any brand asus, amd, msi, etc)

    random black screens.
    texture stretching and spazzing.
checker boarding on screens in and out of games.
    total computer freeze up
    crashes without dump files.
    blue screens.
black screens with sound still playing.
    video driver crashes.
random freeze ups without warning or reason.
    pc power cut offs abruptly.
random overheats and cooling fans shutting off.
pc crashes randomly when watching videos.
    black flickering on screen.
    severe tearing on screen.

i spent over 6 hours trying to hunt down the issue and it ended up being solved via back tracking to my order list from last year i was thinking of buying another of the same gfx card but it turns out the last few hundred reviews on all cards regardless of maker in the R7-R9 are exactly the same 3 weeks-6 months they all go faulty and any combination of the above issue happen. at first i thought it was my card but other issues mimicking other hardware failures. turns out this is a screwed up card that causes tons of issues unrelated to the gfx card normal. i read and read and read and literally review by review found every single issue i been having since i bought this card 1 year ago. almost every card owner had at least 4-6 of the listed issues. all of them further listed buying and using almost anything but this card series solved all of their problems.

    hope any of this helps
