Disappointment in ZoS - Console Transfer

    I wonder if it was disrespectful to fool the ones paying for a whole year then find out they only been working on console? Not like you guys are in that boat alone and we have accepted it and are moving on. So please move on, it will make you feel better once accepting it is over!

    Now the other forums is a better place but the general forums...not so much

    You said that you have been a member since release. Did you actually play this game from then until now? Or do you mean that you played for a while after launch and set it aside and just came back and noticed that you had missed the promotion?

    I'm honestly curious, because the promotion was plastered all over everywhere for quite a while in addition to the emails that went out.

    Actually... I took a break from the game around October 2014... to show my support and to make sure my account stayed active... I continued to pay the subscription. Money is not the issue. It's our progress and data.

    As you are reading, we are affected because we feel like we are being screwed. Once again, people have never received an email or notice about this. We are looking for people to support our efforts for ZoS to reconsider their stance. What gain does anyone have by constantly debating and ridiculing us?

    Forget this situation... Use the example i used earlier about a bad steak in a restaurant... If you were in our shoes... how would you feel and react. There is not a single person here that would be bitter.

    We are the customer. What we are asking for is not absurd or unrealistic.

    I opened my bank account in New York... That's my time and savings that went into that account. If want to move to Florida and have my data and account transferred.. who are they to tell me no? If there is a fee or whatever... so be it. But to deny it is ridiculous.

    Seems that under their legal agreement with you, they are not allowed to send you such updates unless you have consented to it.

    In answer to your questions:
    Yes, your decision to not receive further information about the promotion is really why you missed out on the opportunity to transfer.
    They can make it so limited that not checking a box excludes you from receiving contact about it because they entered a legal agreement with you that they would not contact you unless you consented, out of respect for your privacy.

    You're just missing the point. I am requesting a follow-up for those that were unable to make the dealine or understand the limitations. That is all at this point. Whether you agree or not i do not care. Its a post requesting a follow-up. I do not care why at this point. But just say it is a fair request. Ive stated this many times if you read the posts.

    It is not a matter of whether I agree or not, it is a matter of the reality of the situation.

    ZOS offered specific constraints because they have certain obligations they are required to meet.
    ZOS clearly stated in the initial announcement that the offer would take place at specific dates and the rules and requirements attached to the promotion have been fair.

    Your error is unfortunate, and can totally respect and understand if you are feeling frustrated or disappointed with yourself for making it.

    huh? There are restrictions for this specific example not related to this game.
    but in relation to the game...if not that you're moving states, you're actually staying in the same state but changing who you're doing business with or who you're shopping from.

    It was ZOS and now it becomes Sony or Microsoft. its a big change so to be upset with ZOS on an offer they went way out of their way to set up for us, it very odd even if you don't agree with the terms and conditions.

    There was a "fee or whatever." There were very specific stipulations as to when players could choose to transfer their accounts, and there was an associated fee.

    In terms of who they are to tell you no, not only does ZOS own the services you are accessing, but they also own the account you are using to access them. It is in the Terms of Use.

    Likely the specific stipulations surrounding the transfers were due to some form of legal agreement regarding incoming account linking or transfer to Microsoft/Sony, but this is speculation on my part.

    Actually, it's ZOS' account. You agreed to that when you clicked "Accept" on the TOS.

    Except this isnt a steak argument, this is a going into (enter random store here) and complaining that you aren't getting the same limited offer they offered and advertised a full year beforehand....would you do that? seriously? Walk into Walmart and complain you didn't get the black friday tv on black friday...but you want it now at same price?

    Whatever any players reasons are for ignoring the emails/saying they didn't get them/ignoring all the advertisements they did at the time....it's not ZOS fault or problem to fix.
    If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

    Like do you read? I stated already that I did not receive the email first of all. And second of all if you read you'd have an understanding of the circumstances where someone might have.

    And how is this at all advertised a year ahead of time? are you blind? when did they say it would be limited time? And where did they state it would be on April 9th? Unbelievable.

    Also if you read you would notice we do not care about the price at this point! We just want our characters still. It is crazy how lop sided these forums are. The only people commenting are the same ones across the board and are the same people that obviously are devoted to this game night and day based off of there number of comments. You cannot relate to us when you follow the game this much! Its like living as a King and saying he knows how it feels to live as a peasant when you haven't even walked in the peasants shoes.

    But you can still buy the car just not with the sale. Also again not ZoS fault you didn't get the email. I know with yahoo some emails from gaming companies just will not go thru.
