well I searched but did not find anything related to my issue maybe I just didn't see it lol
I can play the game if I bypass the launcher but get no sound in game mood killer kind of thing
It crashes(error reporter) when trying to apply the patch after about 5-8%
launcher verified the patch just fine tho.I do run launcher in admin mode.
I'm a newbie to this game and it is a fresh install of game
I'm pretty sure the patch trying to be applied 1.6.5 but could be 1.6.6. . I opened a few files in notepad and 1.6.5 seems to be identified.that could be the patch already applied and 1.6.6 could be issue but launcher for what ever reason does not identify patch version....curious if anyone else has this issue or knows of a fix
project cars, assetto corsa,GTAV all run and update fine.
my PC specs are
win 7 pro 64bit
evga gtx 970 4gig sc acx2.0
12gig g.skill ramm
and phenom II x2 555 black edition 3.2 GHz (unlocked to x4 cores)
850w power supply

Its 2.0.9 patch already. Check if you have 85gb free disk space where you try to install the game.
Try to delete Programdata folder from your Launcher folder

I had sound not working for a long time.

    2 "fixes"/work-arounds I found.

    1. Switch languages to German(if usually English, or vice versa)
    2. Check the sound files to see if they are all the same date. If one or more is different(it was 1 for me), delete that file and run repair from the so-called launcher.
