I had interest in the new mount until..

The price of the limited mount is beyond silly..

Over the price of a months crowns? Seriously?

I willing have kept my sub because I want to support my favorite game. There almost no reason to do so yet I was still doing it because I love the game. This is a blatant slap in the face for us few who wanted to support your game.

Very unhappy customer.

In almost every MMO that allows the purchase of mounts they are generally all $25 on average. Some so much as only per character and not account-wide so when it's 2500 crowns ($25 depending on which crown pack you buy) one-time and for the entire account it's not that bad.

It's also nice that they don't charge that price for all mounts and some are 900 crowns so $9 or less when, as mentioned, other games charge that $20-$25 price no matter which mount you buy and isn't even account-wide.

I wish they were cheaper too but it's only the odd few mounts at this price so it's not a big deal. If you don't like it though then don't buy.

Agreed, if the price offends you then do not buy it. That is the best way to send your message.

However, those that do like the mount will buy it. BTW, people forget that it takes a tremendous amount of capital to create and support a game like this, so this will help support the continuation of the game. Its continued support is something that I can get behind.

That was a code from the trading cards so those prices are set by people on ebay and not by Blizzard so that isn't really relevant here but some people actually pay that $500 for a mount which is idiotic lol but to each their own. In the end, $25 for a mount that is account-wide isn't all that bad really. $25 for a mount that is only on 1 character is too much.

Extravagant mounts are more expensive. That's the way it works. I'm pretty sure it's the same price as the other senche from April.

Its an average price as far as MMORPGs go when it comes to mounts. All the limited mounts thus far, have been the same price, so I feel that by now we can expect how much we'll have to pay if we want the mounts. That and this game simply needs to make money, moreso now than ever now that the console release is coming up.

As Dragon said, running a big game like this isn't easy, and thus more funds are needed, and thus limited items are priced accordingly to help get those funds. And to be fair, the sale was a decent idea and if they add a few of those every few months, there'll be plenty of time to get cheaper non-limited items.

A Maserati Grancabrio had my interest....untill I heard it cost over 150.000 euro/usd

it is an exclusive mount, while (contrary to the car) most people can pay, it not everyone is willing to pay that amount of money. It is what keeps it exclusive!

Elder Scrolls Online is not a charity and even if it were one I give my charitable donations to causes I believe in (children's hospitals, feeding the hungry, and educating people what is happening in local, state, and federal government). So for me I look at value.

I enjoy Elder Scrolls Online for the current price point (Free with the Crown store). The Crown Supports running of the game. Currently I have not used any of the crowns I have stored up because most of the items in the crown store do not appeal to me. Now some of the mounts do, however at the cost (more than a subscription) I am not interested in it. The value for me is my money will not go to make new playable content to the game.

Now if it was a micro(small) transaction I might change. MMO cash shops make games decent money. It is the Wal Mart plan. Sell a lot of things really cheap and you make more money than selling far less things for a higher price point.

    What he said.

I dont mind the price, it's still cheap, when you compare to what we gave for our WoW mounts. Yes, i use to play WoW and had bought all of those mounts, but, that is all in the past and im not playing that any more, 10 years was enough for me.

Now im back here, just returned after a break :)

i guess I didn't express myself completely and in a better choice of words to express my point.

Clearly some of you assume Im a greedy little child. I am well over 21, hold a full time job and take care of my wife and child.

    That said..

I guess most of you all that use the forums disagree with my sentiment that they should think more about the people who still want to stay subbed. I put in the money every month to support the game I care to play.

They purposefully want me to spend more money than that every month. Naturally. They are a business.

However, they are showing though many routes that they don't really care about the game. With all the flaws and money grabbing techniques Those of us that are still subbed are getting snubbed repeatedly by these little things over and over.

Things like the crown price of the "new mount skin" are a fine example of their lack of finesse in dealing with us that still are subbed. They should at least make it the price of a monthly sub not more than.

So, let me get this straight, you think that in addition to the bonuses you get for being an ESO Plus member you should also be able to purchase every limited mount released with the crowns you're given? I love how people can "get behind" support of the game if it's in the form of a 25 dollar mount purchase but if it's a 12.99 monthly sub it's "OMG OUTRAGEOUS HOW DARE ANYONE CHARGE THAT!? DOWN WITH ALL THE SUBS!11" The cost of that mount is basically two months of a normal sub..for a single mount. I will never understand why people prefer this type of piecemeal gouging and inequity over the equitable sub price where everyone gets everything for the same nominal amount.

To the OP I agree. I was mildly interested in the mount but of course I have 2300 crowns leftover from my sub that is now canceled and I have no plan to buy any more crowns so I won't be getting it I guess. It's probably better this way because I think I will view anyone I see on that mount as just another person to fall prey to the silly marketing gimmicks that are being passed off as content and I'm not really eager to join that club (even if that isn't really an accurate or fair assessment).

Yeah, I think the guars at 1300 were too pricey, but I still grabbed one the day the crown store went live with them. I can't see spending $25 on fluff though.

I'm one of those cheap asses that never played with a sub. And yeah, I know you didnt say so, but in between the lines, that is what you call me.

Now let me explain why I'll never pay a sub for a game.
Reason 1: many subbed games have been aiming to get and keep people addicted. On itself it is not the company's fault nor responsability, they should consider not working with that goal from a moral point of view.
Reason 2: I don't have a stable income. sometimes my income is high (and my time to play is low or even non-existing). sometimes money is low and I got plenty of time to play. Now I want to play when I goti the time, not when I got the money. further. when I invest in the company I want to buy stuff that I can enjoy when I have time to play. All in all I'm paying more on games then the average monthly fee, but just not stable.

To me, those who are saying that an exclusive mount should not cost more then the 1500 crowns a subber gets per month is much more cheap then the person who actually buys the mount for the current price, but refuses to pay subs ever!

I mean this in a respectfull way. My tone is intended with the purpose of showing my agetation with your standing against people who don't sub. Those people are human too and we all support ESO in the way we feel is best.

Ow and to be honest, even if I had a stable income, I wouldn't take the sub. Just cause the offer is bad. The 10% boost is useless to me. The free DLC's is currently non-existing, and the amount of crowns given is lower then what you can buy directly in the store for that price.

Through me you pass into eternal pain:

    Agree with you^^

I hate these limited timeframe mounts,
they are manipulating us to feel the need to throw money at them now.

They are also following that tactic by"retiring" a few mounts and pets from the shop without a sane reason.
which again is supposed to urge you to buy them before you may never be able to do so again.

I hope they burn in the cesspools of greedhell for this *** business tactic.

I will never give them any money again, with one exception,
I may subscribe for a month to borrow new DLC once it is enough to have a month's subscription worth of content.

Though the way this wreckage of a company is headed now, I dont suspect anything before July 2027

In their defense on this at least... there aren't really benefits worth keeping the 15/mo for now. I have bought both limited mounts but the hard thing I had to learn is.. your crowns cant always save in time of the "limited" gateway, which forces you to put more cash in for crowns to get that limited mount.. All honesty I had to cancel the monthly because 10% and the 1500 crowns are the only benefit of it, but if the 1500 crowns don't come in time, its more beneficial at the moment to just save cash until something you want pops up, instead of a sub.

Really? what are they supposed to give it to you for free? the price is just fine and reasonable. The perks that you and myself included are already stated for paying a preferred fee. There is no reason why we should get special prices on items that ALL players are able to purchase. You get free crowns you either save up for when there is a limited pet or you buy more. I myself purchased extra coins to get the senche pet and the 50 percent off mounts too. It being limited time is just an added way get people to purchase crowns for it. It does nothing but help fund the game and its not like this is a new concept for most if not all businesses to use in one shape or another. Besides its not liking these limited time mounts aren't going to be offered again at some point in time. Get over yourself just because you sub does not entitle you to receive anything more then what has already been stated you get for your sub.
