[PS4] Console transfer code region lock?

With the beta code I received for PS4 I and a few others in Australia asked for a code to play on the NA servers but because we were in the SCEE region (EU) of PSN we couldn't use the code because it was a SCEA (US) code. Has this issue been resolved so that I can transfer from the NA PC server to the NA PS4 server even though I'm in the SCEE region of PSN and that the code you will be sending me will work on the SCEE PSN store?

If your ps4 account is part of the EU region then you are on the EU servers. If you wanted your US characters you would have to make a new U.S. PSN account and link that one instead. You will just have to hope they will give you two codes one for your EU PSN account and one for your U.S. PSN account.

I don't think the issue was ever being worked on by ZOS. It's a Sony concern that you would want to pose a question to Sony.

ZOS is only operating within Sony's rules and limitations
As the post above mentions....the resolution for you seems to be to make a U.S. PSN account and then contact Sony about any other assistance with anything tied to the old PSN

    Good luck
FYI: there is an article with specific instructions on Sony's website about the different regions and what to do but non specific to this game as it's not a ZOS or TESO issue

If you choose not to create a new region specific account then the code won't work

In beta you could select to play on either the EU or NA ZOS server so they should both be available as they are on PC the character copy looks like it will remain on the same server according to this

My concern is really more the code we receive for the digital copy of the game. I want to be able to download the game to my PSN account so that the ongoing sub and PS+ can be paid in my currency.

Oh cool didn't know they changed it.

In that case then you have to link a PSN account to to your eso account to get the code. So if you link an us PSN you will get a U.S. Code and if you link a EU account you will get a EU code, So it's up to you.

You can make a U.S. Account just to get the code and still be able to play the game with your main account as well.

Yeah I tried that with the beta and it didn't work for me. I created a U.S. account to use the code and it downloaded to my PS4 but I could only play the game through the U.S. account it locked me out on my other account.

My ZOS account says where I live so I hope they can send me a code based on that. I'd just like to know that this issue was tracked by ZOS and we won't have the same issue arise with the transfer.

You can have any number of accounts be the primary on one console.

You have to make the console the primary account to allow other users to play the games on your account.

So you make both your EU and U.S. Accounts primary on the one ps4 then you can play any game on any account regardless of which account the game was purchased on.

According to Sony...the issue is not with ZOS
According to ZOS the issue is a limitation deemed by Sony
According to you it's a ZOS issue that needs to be fixed.

ZOS is being allowed to sale a pre order digital game on console and ZOS is providing an account copy from PC for $20.
So ZOS is operating under Sony's rules and regulations.

Wait on ZOS if you want but Sony's website suggests otherwise...

That is a lot of 'according' with no links I have no idea what you are talking about with those rather vague statements about what others have said. Can you please provide some links if you want to speak for others?

What I was saying was pretty straight forward. To access the digital copy of the game I need ZOS to send me a PSN code that will work on my new network and not the other one. If like the beta I can choose which ZOS server I want to play from on the front page then it just comes down to ZOS identifying which code I need from my ZOS account page. So as I said nothing to do with Sony.

Within the thread there are specifics about Malta which is a diff country but the Sony link seems to address diff regions: http://playstationmalta.com/maltese-ps-store-faq/

    More info: https://support.us.playstation.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/418/kw/SCEE

Sony Computer Entertainment has implemented a territorial-based distribution system for its hardware and software. This limits any particular software title to play only on the system designated for that distribution territory (e.g. North American games will not play in the systems designed for other regions, such as, Japan, Europe, etc.). PlayStation systems and format software titles are only designed to run in their respective regions and countries.

Yep still not related to ZOS giving me the right code. I know how Sony's networks work the issue is ZOS correctly identifying where their customers are located to ensure we get the right key. All of the links relate to the ability to make the initial purchase which I have done.

You haven't purchased anything from Sony tho.
I don't know nor should I know either of your account details but when I read you comments, it suggests that the beta code did not work due to a restriction of the PSN.

While it makes sense to look to ZOS, I think in addition to that you should look into the article because my conclusion is that the code they send is based on your ZOS payment information/region so that it follows Sony's. So either your ZOS account is the problem or your PSN account differs which causes a problem.

Actually because ZOS is providing the code to me and I purchased the transfer from ZOS it is a ZOS issue and not a Sony issue.

Actually the issue is with Sony or maybe where you live.
Companies are allowed to offer products and services through Sony but Sony determines if and how those products and services are used and accessed.

No ZOS requests the code from Sony and then provides the code to me. All ZOS needs to do is to ensure that they give the right code to their customers. The issue has nothing to do with Sony.

Again....good luck but the information has been out there since April 2015

Thank you @NewBlacksmurf but I'm hoping I won't need luck.

Thanks but different issue. I have already bought the transfer which is what that post related to.
I made an edit...I think it's all related

Some of the links are PS3 as I don't have a PS4 but the issue is that the code they may send won't work in all regions based on your PSN.

To me this is related to your issue.

Within the thread there are specifics about Malta which is a diff country but the Sony link seems to address diff regions: http://playstationmalta.com/maltese-ps-store-faq/

The last statement is incorrect I can purchase a NA or EU or AU hard copy of a game and play any of them on my PlayStation. The limitation is to purchasing and using the other regions network for downloads just like other download publishers like Apple, Steam and Microsoft with their geolocks on software online purchases. There was an issue with the PS3 which may be what you are thinking about but not with the PS4.

Nope if you read my opening post you will see what happened was we were asked which server we wanted to play on. I said I wanted to play on the NA server. ZOS sent me a code for the US PSN store. I had to create a US account to use the code and play the beta. My ZOS account says that I live in Australia. Now with the beta people apply who don't have accounts so I can understand ZOS maybe not checking that for beta but given it was identified as a problem I'm hoping they will actually check accounts before sending codes this time to make sure people transferring get a code that will work for their PSN network and not just send keys based on what ZOS server they have been playing on.
