Strange riding bug

Santie is questing around Riften and thought it would be better to get there faster on the back of this ones tiger. So Santie mounted up and rode off but then it seems like this one was unable to choose between riding side saddle or not. The result was a very strange effect on Santie's tail!
Is there anyone out there who can shed light on Santie's tiger troubles please? This one has not had this problem before today.

✭✭I get that pretty much all the time. Generally it happens if some effect/ability is still on and I mount up. Not determined which one (yet) but I get it multiple times a day.1
