Dungeon Lag from Hell

Hello,
I have been back ingame for about a month. I can run around all day long questing, farming, etc, im on 12 hours/day average as I am on vacation. The moment I step foot in a dungeon I get lag from hell usually on bosses where you have to move a lot.
As the healer this is not a good experience for anyone in my group. I mash buttons, nothing happens. I get UI error just trying to eat stat food.
I see others have posted similar problems with some siting addons as the culprit, but some say its server instability.
It is really ruining my Tamriel life. I almost don't want to play anymore, at v14 what else is there to do besides group raid & dungeons?

These are my addons and I do not have out of date addons enabled. I don't think its too many, others use more.
They are all the highest recommended ones by other players as working well. As addons are sanctioned & encouraged by ESO I use them as they really enhance the gameplay.
If its addons causing the issue why are these not standard features built into the game?

Azurah 208d
Foundry Tactical Combat
Lorebooks 1.5.4
Skyshards 1.8.7
Master Merchant 6.1.18a
Wykkyd Gaming
WG Core Libraries (Live + PTS) all disabled except for WG Toolbar 2.3.3.1

Does anyone see an addon that may be causing my lag?
If it is server instability is the issue being addressed by the devs?

Thanks for any helpful input,
Laz

    Computer specs?

Do you see your latency spike in dungeons?

Fyi - i had the same issue as well. For me all is solved except slow loading graphs in heavy duty areas

Familiar with all those addons except for Azurah's. What does it do? M.M. and similar addons are notorious for eating up your memory. Try increasing your LUA memory limit or disabling the addon when you go into dungeons.

You may consider lowering your graphics quality. A good way to test whether this is a good solution would be to identify a dungeon that constantly lags. If you lower your graphics quality and the lag persists, then it may be an addon or network problem.

Have you tried rebooting your router before you enter the dungeon? Worked for me.

Ignore the music, enjoy your stay!

It's a common problem which many users are experiencing. So you don't have to be worried about your game, it's the servers.

As far as the UI errors are concerned, can you maybe post a screenshot of such an error so I can help you with it?

This may seem obv but it does help a little. I usually do a router reset once a week for good measure.

IMO this points to a graphical problem.

Thanks for all the ideas. The computer is less than a year old high end gamer republic so I know that's not it, and I never had lag before. My LUA is set at 256 so not that either. Ive reset the router, see if that fixes it. Thanks again, Laz

Well it might not be a problem with the hardware. But the fact that it lags only in certain areas definitely makes me think it has nothing to do with your network connection / latency.

What about your video card driver, is it up to date?

Might be worth poking around in your video card settings (outside of ESO) to see if you can't figure something out. What kind of video card is it?

I just started having lag in PvE a couple days ago. This is the FIRST time in a year of playing ESO that I've had persistent lag problems that make the game unplayable outside of Cyrodiil.

I don't think there is anything wrong with my PC. I'm running Windows 8.1 with a quad-core CPU and 6 GB of RAM. My video card is a very new Nvidia GTX 750ti. My internet connection is a cable modem with 20 mbit/s down and 3 mbit/s up. My ping time is usually around 40-50 ms when I do a speed test. My specific ping (as measured by Resource Monitor) for eso.exe is around 80-90 ms when the game is running.

Like I said, I've only had this type of issue in the last few days in PvE... I think something is up with the server!

Templars induce lag with their spells, combos and abilities. Each cast and successive cast induces more lag it is cumulative. Its not a bug it is a boss defeating feature. :p

    j/k
Although it might not be to far off from the case. Templars do share their health power so why not bug transference. You know spread the love :p Some bugs are contagious

yes i had problem like that as well with new Nvidia drivers rolled back a patch and now I am fine. I still get the occasional lag but that is only when I'm in a full group and lots of mobs and particles and such. I think that our best server response is going to be as fast as the slowest internet connection in the group. Not sure about the server issues I have been retired from the tech industry for a couple of years. Living the good life and happily forgetting all those certs.

Yeah, but that is random lag, right? I've been getting that too. I connect to ESO through a Battleping proxy in Texas (which can't be but a couple hundred miles at most from the NA server), and I ping a consistent 150 to that server. But lately in PvE I've been getting lag in the 300s on a regular basis (sometimes more during bad spikes). And this occurs anywhere, randomly.

The OP has a very specific lag problem, which points to something system-based rather than intermittent server lag or something like that.
