We are currently investigating issues some players are having logging into the European PC/Mac megaserver. We will update as new information becomes available.

I can't wait for Console!

Has for fair and balance, even though don't own the bargain pc that is a console now a-days, a number of v 14s chars and some of are quite old and already very far in the champ system are switching to console, so not to sure about how fair and balance it will be at times, but hey we may get ballegrounds now

Huh? That's not how it works at all.
There is no zone voice chat

Its proximity voice chat which is approx 20-25 yard radius
Otherwise it's group/raid chat which will max at 24 ppl.

Balance issues....those of is transferring over aren't playing alone, we are playing with others within the factions we choose. What is going on in ppl's minds?
    Have you seen a zerg?

Annyways, the balance concern is how much stronger transferred characters will be against native characters. Not against each other.

Don't think ZOS has gotten back to people on what date they are making the copies of the chars or if they are made yet and when, so that is a wide open question about how powerful transfers will be

I know that but but when you have 50-200 people around when sieging and defending a keep you will hear them at the same time It basically becomes a zone voice chat with how pvp works. Perhaps you should pvp more

-throws you a cookie and pats your head-

So again...that's not how it works.
    In order to hear others
1 you have to have it turned on
2 they have to have their turned on
3 if you're in a raid you wouldn't have both on (accord to PS4 users, prix voice chat turns off and group becomes primary, same with guild chat)
4 you have to be within 20-25 yards of one another
5 the further you're away, the lower their voice is

Having played it myself....again, that's not how it works

Smurf why do you bother lol i have found that alot on here just right out hate consoles.
They won't listen bud and as we know it works well.

    Yes I've seen a Zerg

There will not be any balance issues.
There may be lonely issues but not balance.

Let's say there are 100k ppl copying over.
Or even if only 5k, even if all were VR14, they are still going against other Vr14's along with any other VR characters 1-13

If your idea of PvP is just hunting down players vs taking keeps then you're missing the battle.

The only viable balance concerns could be that certain factions are more populated in the first 30 days but even playing casually I hit vr1 in less than 30 days and that's very slow.

It's console...there will be teens - adults and ppl who have more time than others.
Other than population balance concerns which have nothing to do with PC to console copy it will be fine, normal, the same as PC.

I also can't wait when they will push consoles out of the road and can do real stuff like DLC, solo zones and spellcrafting. They spent like half a year for nothing. Just hope they will milk enough money from console herd to make new content.

That still is goiung to come down to how much money consoles increase thingm we will know more of a time table once the income is in really sadly, but yeah looking foreward to that stuff also

So yeah I'm really excited about the June 9th release for both consoles.

It means more $ for Zenimax and hopefully enough new and long term customers to fund development and get them back on their DLC release schedule that they began until 2015

He's right. I have a pessimistic view of console gaming overall in today's world. But these PC xfer's of all their VR14's, gold, and items doesn't sound like it's going to create much of a fair and balanced environment...

Have to agree with this I'm afraid.....

and to play Devil's Advocate here........

@BrassRazoo, what if the guy who just killed you has brought a transfer?

The thing about PvP is that anyone dies and character level is no content for skill.
Other than that, we are so separated by content and levels that ppl copying over Vr's only helps other VR folks or console only that speed through 50 levels....this is a good thing vs bad.

I don't see why there is any assumption otherwise
    1. Massive amounts of gold to lock down trader locations
    2. Ultimate supremacy in PVP due to VR and item quality gap
    3. Large CP advantage on launch

Don't use the PC experiences and assume they will move to console.
The trader locations and PvP or CP don't really amount to much in the grand scheme of things.

It's not them against all fresh console players. They are playing WITH others guys/gals

Sometimes, no most the time, I wonder what planet you come from because you don't seem to apply logic or common sense.

Those are all facts stated in his/her post:
[*] Massive amounts of gold to lock down trader locations
[*] Ultimate supremacy in PVP due to VR and item quality gap
[*] Large CP advantage on launch

Summed up in one sentence. Transferred VR14 characters that have accumulated millions of gold, champion points, and superior gear will dominate for a few months on console.

    - Millions of gold allows for locking down top guild traders for weeks, if not months.
    - Transferred VR14 characters will dominate PVP and hold Emperor spots for months.
    - Transferred players will have superior low level characters because they have champion points to use on new characters.

    It's not fantasy, it's fact.

You have it exactly right. How is console going to be fair and balanced when established PC players will get to transfer over at day 1? That's even more imbalanced than PC is. At least on PC everyone had the opportunity to start at the same point. New console players that start at launch can *never* start at the same point and will start at a *much* larger gap with regards to gear, gold, CP and even experience/skill. Smurf is just in denial because he's a console player I'm afraid. I'm not going to play on console so I don't care one way or the other but it's silly to think console will be fair or balanced. Fair and balanced..like Faux News perhaps.

    A few months...

Who cares about the first few month in an mmo...?

You said it wrong, 'console' MMO. Attention span of console players is much shorter. Being beaten down by PC transfers in pvp, the core of a competitive console player due to all the pvp games on console, and the inability to grasp how the game works without seeing text chat showing bits and pieces of the 'life' of a MMOs. These items equal a questionable community after a few months.

While you're right that the first few months of a new MMO (console launch will effectively be a new game for console users) are usually completely irrelevant in the long run, I really hope you were joking with what you said to @uberkull, or it was meant in a sarcastic/not serious way. That type of unneeded personal attack makes you appear much worse than him.

Really though, I'm actually concerned the gap might be longer than months. It all depends on how many VR14 characters are being copied. There's potential it could last a couple years.

Picture this example scenario: The game launches, and after a month there are 35% VR14 characters, the rest average let's say level 30. The non VR characters will realize the economy is a complete wreck due to the VR14 character imbalance, causing them to not be able to afford new/better gear they downright need to progress further. They then decide "I'll quit for now and come back once the economy balances out". This process of players getting to mid-range/high level then temporarily quiting due to bad economy can occur for a long period of time (years) when a new server opens for any MMO that offers transfers/copies in an infinite loop essentially.

Regardless of that, I still think the console version will sell and do very well. I also hope it does.
I had an oddly more difficult time than usual wording this properly in English, I hope that it is understandable.

what are you talking about? so because i play on a console i have a shorter attention span than you??? what kind of sudo psychobabble is that?

There is no text chat or group finder for high level stuff in destiny, guess what people still talk to each other and manage to get groups on a daily basis. just because PC players are in able of getting a group together without a automated tool that does it for them anymore doesn't mean console will have that same problem.

if you think the majority of console players will care about min maxing every last bit of their character and will need to see every bit of dps they have done in a little box. Then your in for a surprise DCUO and FF has shown just how much they don't care about this kind of useless fluff.

oh and another thing i can log on to destiny right now and within 10min be in a group for the hardest raid on the game. it will be the same for ESO on console while you will still be waiting 5h just to get a normal group together

Speculation & opinion. You know nothing.

Your doom & gloom, apocalyptic preaching schtick is wearing thin. If you would bother to look, you'd find that no one really cares about these things you're fixated on. The game will do just fine on console. Deal with it.

From my own perspective, I had been planning to join the console crowd since I previously only played on PS4. However, after watching some videos of PC gameplay, I grew impatient and bought the PC version a week ago. I run my PS4 controller using various software to configure everything how I want it and even use a Logitech G13 for common keys. I wasn't sure how I'd like it- not having everything at my fingertips like with true console games, but I've actually had no problems getting used to it. IMO, having access to mods also brings a lot of convenience and improves the gaming experience- especially in a game as massive as this; sometimes it's those little tweaks that can really help a player enjoy the game just a bit more. I suppose if you've never had it, you'd never miss it... but for me, I have no intentions of leaving the PC side now. :)
