Resistance MAX cap

Hello,
I would like to know if there is a such thing as maximum spell resistance and physical resistance cap for both PvP and PvE?

35k for v14.

32k500 for the hard cap (50% mitigation), more def/resistance is useless in pve. In pvp, since some people can have a really, really high penetration, even 70 k is useful.

you can go beyond that 50% with spells like circle of protection that adds another 8% to your 50%

well there is no cap for spell resists but the maximum you are able toe reach by 7heavy armor pieces + sword+ shield all nirnhoned.
but the dmg mitigation your resists can produce is caped at 50% wich will be reached with a vet 14 char at 32,5k resists but this does refer to an attacker with NO spellpiercing wich is at least in PvP not happening ever.
e.g. my sorc is negating around 15k spell resists so for 50% reduction you would need 45+k resis

You can mitigate far more than 50% (block with defensive stance + footman already have more mitigation), but the most armor and spell resist can mitigate is 50%. You can mitigate far more with block and circle but also with veil or nova. I think you can reach 90% or more mitigation like that, but that's not the question ^^
