Why does CC-immunity get applied even if the CC doesn't get broken and lasts it's full duration?

I realized this a couple of weeks ago and still can't explain myself why it is the case. I mean why should you get rewarded for not doing anything?

While it makes sense, it doesn't really provide good gameplay to be stunned over and over. But, like @Sanct16 says, it doesn't really matter in the current instagib meta.

✭✭✭✭✭TTK is so fast now that skill has been more or less taken out of combat, sure you can still make it count, but if youre just a littlebit unlucky and someone lands a crit wb or cf or lethalarrow on you, youre finished. No chance for recovery. Its almost like playing russian roulett with your oponenet, who can be the luckiest.
