Crunch time at the office?

I don't know how things are going down at Zenimax, whether it's busy or lax at work, but there's a huge console release real soon. And with huge releases, there's usually some crunch time in the game dev industry. I've never had to deal with industry crunch time, but have gotten close with huge semester game dev projects that I've procrastinated on. ANd that sucked. So, I'm sure actual crunch time sucks just as much.

I just wanted to say thanks for the hard work you're putting in. Remember to eat lunch and get some kind of sleep guys, even it's for short amounts. If it is crunch time, then you're putting a lot of pressure just from yourself, maybe from others, and certainly from us fans, who are just excited for the future in different ways. Try not to let it bog you down, and instead try to get it to inspire you if possible.

So, just, thanks. :)

I've done crunch time in the animation industry (not in the games). 12 hour days were the norms, as was sleeping at the office. The only food you knew was take out, and so help you if had a reason NOT to come into work (e.g. "Food poisoning? We've got toilets you can throw up in at the office!"). It can be pretty rough, mind bogglingly so at times.

Console gamers generally expect one thing PC gamers don't -- for everything to work near flawlessly out the box. PC gamers (sadly) accept patches as a part of life. Not so much in the console world, so I imagine every last bug, quirk and glitch that can be ironed out before console is important to them. A second relaunch is pretty vital to the game (ESOTU doesn't count since it solely changed subscriptions)

I don't work in the game industry, but I'm a software dev at a major auto company. It's crunch time for us. 12-14 hour days are no fun :(

Thanks for all the hard work, ZOS!

/signed - I hope we see maybe some launch patch notes for XBOX ONE/PS4 - It would be interesting to see the changes we can expect come launch day. Thanks for bringing the world to life when I can still remember the original Elder Scrolls - Arena. For all the negativity you encounter, just show people some screenshots/gameplay from that game to show how far you have come!
