BraveKatSoul ShrivenLFG is broken or no one is using it. Since returning to the game 2 weeks ago, I have had it work once out of approximately 7 attempts, waiting for 30-60 mins, each time. I have queued as all 3 roles. I am not really sure what I am supposed to be doing, I like challenging game content but the the solo PVE content is so ridiculously easy now, its a snore fest. I play MMO's mainly for the group content but finding group has been almost impossible. This game has got so much going for it, but a broken LFG tool and too easy PVE content making pretty boring to play. It was better at launch IMO.1 -

If they want to make it work on PC, they need to give them something, like you can do the dungeon with fully loaded enlightment.
Btw, what we really need is group finder for Craglorn stuff.. I still havent done some delves and quests because its impossible to find group, maybe they should add two maybe a few dailies to Craglorn too, sometimes its trial, sometimes just simple delve with full clean, sometime quests.Edited by Sausage on May 19, 2015 5:18AM2 -

Extra Enlightment or (for those that don't play much and have enlightment all the time (like me)) A fixed extra amount of enlightment as a bonus.

You are missing the bigger picture. If customers are not using your product, for whatever reason, it's YOUR fault. Period.
Telling people not to change roles while the tool is running, to clear selections and start over, etc., would end in a staffing change...
If every game had a bad grouping tool, I might think it's a systemic problem. Unfortunately, many games have easy to use, intuitive grouping tools that work well for the player base.

Fact: He has absolutely nothing but some anecdotal evidence. Has nothing to back up his claims.
Yet, he's still here, telling you that you're doing it wrong and it's all YOUR fault and the group finder tool is working fine 100%, despite many players providing equally plausible evidence to the contrary.
When asked to prove that the group finder is working fine (as he continually states), he links some other thread that ALSO has nothing but anecdotal evidence and is ALSO riddled w/ players commenting to the contrary.

Or go off the patch notes from ZOS the specifically clarify that the grouping tools had fixes and today they fixed the group leader bug. It's been working for me since April 2014. It takes longer as more and more people decide not to use it but the tool works. The trick is getting others to use it vs standing in cities spamming or in zones spamming LFG.
You're simply wrong. In nearly every pledge group that I've done this week, the "no group leader" bug has been present. Sometimes even more than once (after disbanding and reforming). ZoS also claimed that the Templar charge was fixed in several patches and it wasn't. I don't know if it's still broken since I specced out of it to the sword and board charge.
Maybe you're on of those "it's not happening to me, therefore it isn't happening" people. This, despite numerous people telling you that the grouping interface remains bugged.0 -

I was running some group dungeons last night with my VR6 Templar and some L38's (until my power went out, sorry folks). We did just fine. I had run the dungeons before, so I was just puttering, the others were having a good time, getting their achievements, exp and loot. So it all worked out.
There is no way this group would have been created by the Grouping Tool.

Actually no, the customers are using the product but choosing not to use a tool within the product offering.
The bigger issue is that people have decided and chosen not to use the tool because they don't want to play with ppl they don't know, they don't want to wait, rumors about it not working, length of time in the queue.
ZOS can do different things to encourage use but the bottom line is what we see in the coming console versions. Limited work around a drive different behaviors.

Well they "are" removing Vr levels. That's a big step in the right direction.
I don't agree that the 4 level restriction should be removed.

I'm reading exactly how they intend us to use the tool
I'm following feedback from other players who get results from using the grouping tools
Then just sharing in the forums but for some reason ppl feel that if its not working for them and maybe their circle, then it must be the game
I'm not saying there are no bugs but getting groups isn't an issue.
Consider your role, encounter, time of day and level as all of those play into this.

It should be a choice to level restrict or not. I put my name in and check a box that says any level or a box that says restrict level. Yeah... check out post number 5 in the thread you linked.
If the group finder is working, how do explain the fact that four people who are all online, within the correct level range, and queued for the correct roles aren't matched up by the group finder?

If anyone actually watched the portion of the stream where Deltia used the group finder, you saw that his queue popped instantly. The one person in his group using voice chat however said that he was waiting for an hour.

If the tool won't let you group for a dungeon that is not in your alliance, that is just dumb design, even if they maintain the Alliance group restrictions. Just another arbitrary restriction that needs to be removed.
Restrict the use of a tool, you just restrict the usefulness of the tool.

✭✭I'm with Nestor on removing the level restrictions from the group tool. I skipped the dungeons on my main, mostly because I was averse to groups, period. Now, however, I want the dungeon skill points and achievements. I don't care if I don't get XP.

Cazic✭✭✭✭✭I just tested the LFG tool right now and was grouped with someone in less than 2 minutes. It's 1:15PM PST on a Tuesday so this is not even peak hours. I'm a VR11, queued as Tank for a regular dungeon, not even Vet (search was left on "All" dungeons).
Considering the time of day, it seems that the LFG tool is at least working to some degree.

If anyone actually watched the portion of the stream where Deltia used the group finder, you saw that his queue popped instantly. The one person in his group using voice chat however said that he was waiting for an hour.
I never said otherwise. I've never said that the tool works fine or that it's completely broken, or any of these baseless claims that can't be confirmed.
In fact, all that I've actually said on the matter is that it was broken for the first 6 months after the game was released, and that this created a stigma among players that it was pointless to try to use it anymore even after improvements were made to it.
Now, it is still questionable at times (extremely long queue times, 6 hours and upwards, etc), but this is STILL compounded by the fact that the same stigma that it's worthless to use continues to exist.
My issue is simply w/ those who want to portray the group finder tool as 100% working when there are clearly still issues being reported by a large number of players. I feel that this does a disservice to those who are trying to make the grouping tool better and is honestly nothing but misinformation.
That is why I asked for proof that the grouping tool is actually working 100%, which I know does not exist. After all, if you are going to say something, you should really be able to back your own words up.1 -
