Cannot drag and drop skills to bar! Help?

So this is a fun bug, and yes I reported in game. I cannot equip new skills, or any skills for that matter from the skill menu to my skillbars. I noticed this after spending a skillpoint for Regeneration, and not being able to drag and drop to my bar. Bugged it and searched here for a solution, but can't seem to find one. Googled and found another website talking about this from 1.6, but it says it has been fixed...

Here's a screenshot of the issue, any help is much appreciated. I tried dragging and dropping all skills, and I get the same msg of attempt to access private function from insecure code. I can however, drag and drop skills that are already on my bar from one spot to another, but that doesn't help me equip new skills.

Help please?

Maybe a dumb question, but have you tried disabling all of your add-ons?

Can you test if this is a 'vanilla' ESOTU issue or a addon issue? It could be that one of addons has 'locked' the button bar?

Pretty much every single UI error I get these days is addon-related, so I second the suggestions above.

Not related to addons, it is a UI bug. Relogging fixes it but /reloadui does not.

You can right-click abilities from your book and assign them to specific slots (1-5) as a workaround when it happens.

Then I have been lucky so far to evade this UI bug.
Nevertheless it is good to know that there is a workaround. I never knew there was another option besides drag'n-drop to change the button bar.

Ok. So /reloadui didn't work, relogging didn't work, complete restart didn't work. However disabling all addons worked. That being said, I would really appreciate it if anyone can read that error code and tell me which addon it is that is causing this

My guess would be that Wykkyd's outfitter is triggering it, but the UI itself is referenced in the error so no clues there. You could try re-enabling addons one at a time until it breaks but in my experience it is only a "once in a while" error so it might seem like everything is working.

Thanks @AlienDiplomat, that's what I'm doing... but I have quite a few addons, so was hoping that code would make sense to someone. Usually it would say what addon is causing the error, so I took this to mean it was ZOS UI not addons. I'll update when/if I figure out what is causing it.

Well I went on down the line disabling one at a time and reloading UI, but it somehow magically fixed itself. Thanks for all your suggestions guys and gals, but I guess we'll just have to chalk this one up to an odd case and move on
