Also, wasn't it the "EP zerg" ie pugs and solo player's that was the main advantage that EP enjoyed which was what DC & AD lacked that could make the difference? With extra man power who needs guilds? If it worked for EP than it should work for DC & AD too right?

AD has a good amount of pugs and solo players but they are usually looked down at or belittled in zone a lot unfortunately. I wouldn't be surprised if our pugs either turned off zone or just ended up rerolling to another faction to see if they were the same. This is in my experience anyway and what I've seen, could be wrong.
Option 2 is go to a campaign where your faction faction is outnumbered rather than a campaign where you already dominate.
