When I read the title and before click and read the post, lot of things crossed my mind..Bad graphics, bugs, exploits, etc..Then I got a relief when finally I read the post..
As you said in your last sentence, I am one of those "some players" that don't care..I never been the top player or the top trader. While I understand that some people take all these serious cause I ve been there before when I was playing competitive, I honestly chose to play on console in the hope that the game will mostly have new MMO players that only play on consoles and never bothered to play pc MMOs..
I just thought that this will create a "noob" community like my first MMO days where everyone was excited that the grass is green and not qq for everything..Plus, since I will be new to the game (I did not transfer character but also i don't have high level char anyway), I can probably be able to sell what I gather to people that have the money to buy them...
But if you really want to see it competitive I ll tell you this..once you reach those people in level and gear, the game will be as equal as it can be..cause everyone will play with the same controller and there are no bots on consoles..while in PC someone might play with a mouse with 2 buttons and others with a razer naga...so it may not be equal at start but at the end it will be much more equal than pc.
If you are one of those that have not played this game on PC you should know what is waiting when you start playing. This will not really be a "new game".
TDLR: You wont have the same chance for success.
This might not be a big deal for some, but at least now you know what is waiting. Good luck.
You have nailed it exactly. ZOS put NO thought into allowing transfers to console. And once again they made a really really bad decision that is only going to hurt them in the end. Im not really surprised.

I have never been in a guild with a kiosk and have no trouble selling anything. Big guilds with lots of money that buy them repeatedly are also spending big money, so it self-regulates in that way.
Also, once you get to 90 CP the difference is very minimal until you get way more than 200. That first critical strike bonus is really all you NEED to be competitive.
It's not just console players really, you could apply what you've said to anyone who would be starting the game on any platform - anyone who starts the game on PC the day console version gets released would have the same disadvantage as the console players starting out.
That's just how MMO's are, aren't they? Start late, and people will be ahead of you, naturally, what else would you expect?
NadiusMaximus wrote: »Lol, only thing about it that makes me feel sorry for them are the new console players thinking they will ever reach emperor against the transferred accounts.
So... it boils down to "You'll never catch up to those who have been playing for a year before you"? Funny, that's how it is for me in -every- game I ever played! Even in those "cap" games, I never got the kind of high-power endgame gear others strut around with, just for not having had the time to earn it. To actualyl catch up, I'd have to play a lot -more- then the older players... So, what else is new?All this means that you will recieve the short end of the stick througout your whole game experience and will never catch up.

Big guilds that spend lots of money are also having a hard time paying the 2-4 million gold for prime trader spots.
Causing them to not get traders for weeks on end.
It'll even itself out eventually...
I guess the biggest issue is people believing there's nothing good to buy on the small out of the way traders. Yes, they usually have more inventory, but if you're looking for something specific that's expensive you can usually get it 1/2 price by shopping around instead of just heading to Rawl.
If you are one of those that have not played this game on PC you should know what is waiting when you start playing. This will not really be a "new game".
PC players that wanted the game for their consoles have copied their PC-accounts and transfered them to console and will start at launch with their max lvl characters etc. This will mean the following:
- Very rich players will control the ingame market in day one. "But the game has guild stores and not a server-wide auction house" you might argue. Thats true, but in order to sell alot you need to be in a guild that has the good kiosk spots that can be found in the game world - and these are bought ala highest bidder gets it. These will be taken from start and beyond. On top of that: There have been lots of exploits during the games first year so there are much money around in the game already, and all that gold that is around is copied to old pc players new accounts aswell... You wont have the same chance for success.
- Crafting. The old pc players will most likely have maxed just about everything regarding crafting and unlocked most of the traits already and will controll the sales of set items for months - It takes long time to research traits for weapons and armor. You will eventually catch up of coarse, but by then the market will be flooded with stuff and not really as profitable as in the beginning of the game. You wont have the same chance for success.
- In this game there is this second character progression system called Champion Points of wich you will start earn them when reaching first veteran lvl (lvl 51 you could say). You will never stop earning those and there is a total of something like 3000+ that you could get. This system is kind of fresh so while its very unlikely that many who transfered to console would have more then 200 of these points you would be at a disadvantage. You see, these points are used to raise your characters passives such as critical strike chance, armor, resistances etc.
The devilish thing about these points is that they are copied & shared by ALL you other characters aswell. So when the old PC players want to make an alt they will have the bonus passives of their choices and will have at the very least 10% stronger characters (in every stat) then you will have from the start. And since you wont be able to earn those points yourself until later in the game the old vet players points will continue to grow every day. You wont have the same chance for success.
All this means that you will recieve the short end of the stick througout your whole game experience and will never catch up.
In pvp you will face alot of boosted characters with really good set armors & weapons + higer stats and resistances etc.

This sounds like America! And like every other new player joining a game on ANY platform that has been played already.
If console sales will fail, pc/mac side will fail too.

It does? To me its unheard of anyway. If consoles would join pc servers and play together with us I would understand, but this is not the case.
