See all those banners placed? There are no enemies in that spot. No reason to drop them all there, except to create so much lag that all abilities stop working, then you can just pick up the scroll and walk away with it, completely ignoring all defenders. That, in my book, is an exploit.
It's one thing to have natural lag occur during big battles that just happens and you can't prevent, but a completely different thing to intentionally create it. You who do this should be ashamed.
Aaand thats the reason why i log off at around 7 in the evening and don´t bother trying to play pvp again before 10:30. It´s unplayable due to intentionally created lag during keep and scrollfights.
I´ve seen every faction use this "tactic" though - so there is nobody special to blame except for maybe the developers of doing nothing about it bc of the all so imporatant console release.
OP, you're just spouting a load of BS. Those standards are from 1 person trying to drop his 1 standard over and over again. But because the server is already lagged out, his ult does not get depleted and the banner animation keeps playing even though none of those banners are real. Eventually the server catches up and depletes his ult - that is the point that the real banner casts. This is by no means some obscure knowledge, anyone who's been in a lagged out keep since 1.6 and tried to drop ultis knows this is how it works.See all those banners placed? What kind of console release are they expecting when one doesn't have to look very hard to find all the *** they refuse to work on that is going to make it into the final product of the release?

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is built to accommodate hundreds of players onscreen at once.

You don't seem to know how this works, this isn't multiple people dropping multiple banners, when the servers ALREADY lagged out one DK can try to drop his ONE banner multiple times and it'll endlessly copy itself until it eventually works, none of these banners do damage, and sure they add to the lag, but no its not was causes the lag.
Same thing happens with meteor and soul tether, and with almost all ultimates too be honest.

From the name seen in chat I would say EU servers most likely Thornblade.

Sharee, the EP blame your faction for the same thing, we all blamed AD when they had trains up. Same happens on other campaigns and other servers (NA).
Blues blame the reds for deliberately creating lag... reds blame the yellows for deliberately creating lag... yellows blame the blues for deliberately creating lag... the cycle of blaming other gamers goes on and on...
Meanwhile at ZOS HQ the developers and programmers who created this mess are lighting their Cuban cigars with hundred dollar bills paid to them by all of those players blaming each other.
Let's be honest here, there are skills which contribute to lag, however I doubt you will find any guilds or groups in ESO PVP which join Cyrodiil every night and go "let's make this as laggy as possible so we can't enjoy it!".
Maybe instead of blaming each other for lag, cheats, exploits, bugs we should actually turn our attention to the people making and maintain the game who don't seem to be able to fix it or give us any information on what's causing it.

Here is an example of it happening with Meteor.. at 2:43 someone casts Meteor on me and it casts 6 of them on me. The same will of happened in your picture! Sick and tired of people making these posts saying people are intentionally lagging when they are not

The person dropping the meteor on your head wanted to kill you. The person dropping the banner in a place with no enemy targets around wanted to cause lag.

While I agree with some of what you say, if it were the case that the reds weren't unintentionally doing it, then why to they stack as one massive faction blob when they know that it lags the server? Meanwhile they're still able to spam steal tornado which appears to working in the lag fights?
I mean if it's not fun for them then why do it just so they can take the map back?
I would prefer a lag free fight we're 24 man raid would try to take the scroll from an overwhelming odd by using brains and tactics. That would feel like more of an achievement than just lagsploiting, but to be honest I don't think Thorn EU reds are capable of doing much with 24 man raids they only have a handful of decent skilled players that I never see running with the zergs, the rest of the faction has to stacked together to achieve anything (I have video proof) and that's when the lag kicks in.

From someone who is a leader in one of the key War Council (EP Thornblade Alliance) guilds I can tell you that if there was any way to remove lag we would do it in a second. We have been losing members from PVP left and right due to the conditions right now.
As for balling up during lag there are reasons for it none of the ones I hear or leaders use (or have used myself) are for the purpose of creating lag.
On a good night the WC TeamSpeak has two full raids and a some smaller groups all operating together to coordinate their efforts.
If a large force is seen in one area or a key place then it's not uncommon for raid leaders to call all forces to defend that location, in addition you'll often see all the randoms (our name for players without guilds/groups) turn up at that location as well.
So this is indeed going to create lag, unlike in ZOS's fantasy world of PVP it's not always possible to simply go somewhere else on the map to reduce the lag, not if you are trying to win a campaign. The moment large numbers of players clash whether it be with a bomb train or single target groups the lag will come.
Balling up in PVP is still a viable tactic because it's the best way for your healers to keep healing the group, this is especially so when fighting for flags, sadly this does only increase the lag.
When this lag eventually kicks in we also know which skills have the highest success change of working, that's normally AoE skills like Impulse, Steel Tornado, Skill Synergies etc. That's why when lag happens you will often see those skills on your death recaps.
As for bashing the skills of the EU Thornblade Reds I think you would be surprised. We have won fantastic fights in the past outnumbered (as have all factions) and we have a large number of quality players within the War Council. Most of these players however don't play in groups or PVP at all right now because the lag has driven them away. Rob Woods (-Rob) might arguably be one of our best Magicka Nightblades right now, however once the lag hits he will leave PVP and go do vDSA/Sanctum because it's more fun for his stream followers to watch than lag stalled PVP.
I won't stand and try and debate epeen about which faction would be better outside of lag because until ZOS actually fix the issues and we return to (or hopefully surpass) the lag free days of the past there is simply no way to gauge that.
My points in posting in this thread are that I personally am getting tired of the PVP community slinging poo at each other and making us look like petty children rather than serious, fun loving gamers which ZOS should be listening to and helping.

How do you know he didn't accidentally press his ult?
