I bought ESO when it first came out and I was wondering if I could play with my friends who own their copy on steam. Are they the same servers?

Doesn't matter where they purchased the game, everyone plays on either N.A. or EU server. All PC/Mac play together.
PS4 will have their own separate servers, as will Xbone.I'm not prejudiced; I hate everyone equally !1
