Stamina Horse

So about a month ago I decided that next to my quest horse (more inventory space) I would get a horse that would be handy in Cyrodiil (which at the time I didn't have a clue about but i knew it was a lot of horse riding because of the extremely large area). So I picked a Stamina horse with the idea it would be able to sprint over a long distance and still remain a steady speed. I thought speed horse was just for short-ish rides because you would run out of stamina to sprint.

Wrong choice.

In every zerg i'm in I fall behind and somehow everyone has bought a speed horse (even tho I thought stamina was the logical choice!). Everyone out-speeds me even when i'm pressing shift and they're not. I realize that stamina has something to do with being able to take more hits on your horse, but lets face it, thats totally useless and for people who haven't googled it before buying the stamina horse a bit out of the blue because thats not what you think stamina would do!

My main question is, how on earth did every single person in Cyrodiil made the decision to go for a speed horse instead of stamina.

There are guides online to picking the right horse for the right playstyle. These will tell you that for PvP, speed is king.

EDIT: and obviously, before sinking so much gold into this purchase, people did their homework. I did.

You only need a speed horse in this game.

Because really, in Cyrodiil, if someone wants you dead, you're frickin' dead.

Aint no horse gonna stop that from happening.

In ESO, it's speed, or fuhgeddaboudit.

You sprint indefinitely on a horse with shift pressed, when your stamina runs out all it means is your going to be knocked off with one hit from something.

It's not like running where you slow down when stamina runs out.

I have been feeding one of my horses every day just for speed. In cyrodiil when it's not sprinting, its around as fast as non speed horses when they are sprinting.

When I sprint on it, I leave the rest of my guild standing.

I bought the stamina horse but all I'm feeding it is apples. A bit of stamina will be useful eventually.

Exactly...Unless everyone is running Speed with nothing else. Theyre going to end up at the battle long before any allies can join them.

Ive seen it plenty of times. A long line of Players running back to the battle and getting no where fast.
