About that "Mad Max" image on twitter ...

First of all, it doesn't look like an in-game location, so not only did they have enough time to dress up and place all the NPCs for this shot, they also created an entirely new area.
But what really caught my eye was the armor in the front. I didn't recognize it. So I dug through the QuakeCon material once again (always a sad affair, such promises) and found what it looks like ...

eso-undaunted-armor-set.jpg

It's the Shor-damn Undaunted armor! The one that should have been released with Update 5 over 7 months ago! The one I've been pestering them about ever since!

I'm so tired of this. They continue to show us stuff that isn't in the game, with no mention of when or how we might actually get it.

Almost everything shown at QuakeCon ...
Murkmire? Nope! Teased again on B2P announcement.
Wrothgar? Nope! Teased again on B2P announcement.
Imperial City? Nope! Teased again on B2P announcement.
Kothringi Armor? Nope!
Morag Tong Armor? Nope!
Dark Brotherhood Armor? Nope! Teased again on B2P announcement.
Thieves Guild Armor? Nope! Teased again on B2P announcement.
Glass Armor? Nope! Teased again on B2P announcement.
Undaunted Armor? Nope! Teased again now.
Elite PVP Armor? Nope! Teased again on B2P announcement AND release!
Xivkyn Armor? Nope! Teased again on B2P announcement.
Dwemer Armor? Oh yes that one actually did make it in hm interesting.
And new zones shown for the B2P announcement ...
Clockwork City? Nothing heard since 4 months ago.
Abah's Landing? Nothing heard since 4 months ago.
Mephala's Realm? Nothing heard since 4 months ago.
Several item pieces of current styles unavailable in the game (such as veteran Breton and Nord shields)? Teased on B2P release!

No timeframe, no info about any of this, some of which has been teased over 10 months ago. Everything except the first stage of the Justice System and the Champion System turned out to be vaporware. I feel like investing in someone's kickstarter campaign for months without seeing any results. Even if we ever get to see any of this, it seems like they let every developer go and will just release stuff that sits on their shelf and they have been working on for over a year now.

[...]

Nothing like ESO rage in the morning. I'm back to my tea now ...

Surely the bigger question is why are the marketing department of ESO promoting #MadMax

I can only assume, it's some kind of weak attempt to drum up more business by tacking on the #MAdMax hashtag to generate popularity.

Or maybe the people making the game are just fans of the genre and spend a bit of free time to do something awesome. Not everything has to be a conspiracy theory.

    Hey there everyone!

These screenshots are intended to be just for fun, celebrating ESOTU and movies we’re all excited for. There is some custom shot composing involved to get the look we want. The armors you see are available in the game, and include some of the following styles:
    • Primal Armor
    • Argonian Armor
    • Engine Guardian Helm
    • Barbaric Armor
    • Tattoos
    • Soul Shriven gear
    • Just straight up nothing in the case of the a few characters
    • And more!

Thanks for the feedback on these so far!

I'm not against you guys having some fun (and I'm looking forward to Mad Max as well), but the gauntlets and chest armor of the character on the far right in the foreground are not available in the game at this time. Sadly I'm 100% certain about this, as I've been looking forward to it since QuakeCon last July, and I've repeatedly asked about it in the "Ask us Anything" threads.
So either you are mistaken and this style is planned to be introduced at a later date, or the style is supposed to be in the game already but its abscence somehow slipped under your radar.

This is a bit much. What is the big deal? I legitimately don't see what people have a problem with here? You know devs are people like us. Gamers, fans, etc. They did some creative pics like any one of us does from time to time when people make theme builds. They're DEVS; they have the ability to alter things as they wish. What they don't have the ability to do is release it as an actual game asset, bug free, whenever they feel like it. That's quite a bit different than taking some fun pictures. At least some of you must know there's a complicated process behind what gets put into the game and when, all with mostly bean counting suits controlling it.

To my knowledge that's a dropped shield rather than a dyed one. I've seen some cool looking shields from normal players on the reddit forum as well.

Also I'm going to assume the zone is Abah's landing?

    That was my guess too.

Either way, I think this and the Avengers shot are really cool, and would be easy for ZOS employees to set up in their spare time.

Absolutely, it's great when devs have fun with their own game, but this is a different situation. It's an armor teased months ago which some people were waiting for. Along with a long list of DLC also teased months ago. Almost a year gone and we aren't any closer to seeing these things in the game. It's understandable that people aren't happy about it.

I just hope it doesn't take long for them to start rolling out all the new content after the console launch.

And lets not encourage them to put every single addition, content, gear n mounts etc in the crown store.

It would make eso a much better game if they gave us lots more good stuff to spend our in game cash on, like adding pet shops in the cities

How about hire able companions that cost a daily fee but act like the followers in skyrim as in they can fight, carry and equip stuff.
I say make them cost a daily fee so that way not every single player is running around with a bot all the time like swtor its bad enough with all the vanity pets

That's what gets me addicted and spending more real cash because I'll be more devoted, is when an mmo has so much to earn with in game cash again like swtor that I just can't stop playing and wasting real money : )

Don't get me wrong though I absolutely hate what swtor had done with a lot of its cash shop items, random boxes with good stuff you cannot get any other way and the rest.
