Was the combat system of mobs made more difficult?

I came back to Bangkorai and Alik'r desert after some months I didn't play and I don't remember mobs conjuring allies and doing CC. Was it increased?

No everything outside a dungeon or a trial was nerfed into triviality then into something even lower than that a couple of times in the last 12 months or so.

Other/lower zones seems OK, it is these 2 highest. From my experience it would just make the game more annoying, not challenging... Because most of the times you just want to pass by and CC makes it impossible and it forces you to fight even if you don't want. With ordinary MMO feature - too many mobs around - as it around Evermore, it makes the game not really fun to play. So I am just curious if they are aware of such trap of making the mobs outside dungeons more difficult...

Everything outside of veteran dungeons and trials is still mind numbingly easy. Not sure what you're experiencing, but take it as an opportunity to update your gear, evaluate your spells, and figure out why something so simple is presenting itself as difficult.

I've noticed that some NPCs have started using attacks that only players would use before. I think it's kind of cool.

Mobs seem to use a lot more CC and evasive moves now.

They can chain stuns and knockdowns on you without any diminishing returns. Players spamming CC abilities cause immunity, but these rules do not seem to apply when mobs do it. Some mob CC seems to be instant and unblockable too.

Mob packs tend to split up immediately on contact making aoe harder. A lot of mobs backpeddle endlessly, sometimes into places players can't reach. Even some melee mobs seem to backpeddle for no good reason, other than to slow the player down.

It's good that they are trying to improve mob AI and tactics, but it seems to be oriented towards slowing the player down rather than providing a genuine challenge.

More difficult? Not really. More irritating, certainly.

I've seen nothing but nerfs to NPC. All content is trivial now.

Mobs hit harder, block more often and use more CC than before. For the most part, i would say this is an improvement, but there are some outstanding issues that I feel need to be addressed:

    1) Some mobs are still able to use "banned" abilities like Sparks that the player can't use anymore. The dual-wielding world boss at Hunter's Camp in the RIft is an example of this. It's not a big deal, but it doesn't seems like fair play, either.

    2) More mobs than ever are completely CC immune (e.g. Trolls), but ALL of them may as well be immune because they get immunity anyway the first time you CC them. What is the point of CC skills now? To use as an initial taunt, LOL?

Huh? The mobs won't knock you off the mount unless you are out of stamina, which is hard to have happen unless you're trying to. The mob density is very low and they hit for absolutely trivial damage, dying themselves in just one or two aoe's (rarely, the dot needs to tick as you walk away and you're delayed mounting an extra couple of seconds) if you accidentally agro a ton.

I'm not sure mobs have been "nerfed", certainly as gear and skills get better, the mobs stay the same so they certainly may feel easier to handle.

They do seem to have a lot more abilities they do though, I am guessing so the fights won't seem "boring".
