REQUEST: Being able to see your friends role(s).

Hello everyone,

I would like to see the option added that you can see which role(s) your friends prefer. In the time I've played the game I've met a vast amount of players whom I play with on a regular basis. The only problem is that I can't see what role (Tank/DPS/Healer) they play.

For example: If I'm looking for a Tank for a Veteran Pledge, I want to be able to go into my friends list and see if there are any tanks available. The icons used in the group section could be used for this. All I'm asking is for a quick way to see what roles my friends play. Because it's always nice to play with the people you know.

Thanks for reading.

Any thoughts fellow players? And @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_AlanG @ZOS_JessicaFolsom ?

I guess the icons would have to refresh whenever they login, since most players have multiple characters with different builds.
It would be the same with a guild roster, but in a guild you could ask directly who's available :)

I have 4 mains, two of them are pretty much DPS, one them can tank, one of them can heal. But the Tank and the Healer can also DPS. Hey, I can form my own group in Group Finder if I wanted to.....

Anyway, while it would be good to see what roles people play, it is probably better to just ask your friend, do you have a DC Tank or AD DPS or EP Healer? Note, I picked those combos as that is how my characters roll.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

If their are in my list it means that played a few times with them and I know what they do.I wouldn't mind this feature though.

You already have this, just right click them in your friends list and type it in on their friend note =).
-First-Wave Closed Beta Tester of the Psijic Order, aka the 0.016 percent.
Exploits suck. Don't blame just the game, blame the players abusing them!

-In-game mains abound with "Nerf" in their name. As I am asked occasionally, I do not play on anything but the PC NA Megaserver at this time.

Alright, that could work. But once/if they change role(s) I would have to update my notes. I'd rather have a system implemented that keeps track of this for me. Anyway thanks for the tip though

It would be neat to have... the notes are more per account, and many people play different characters on their account.

It could be done with an icon that's character specific, set by the player to show which role they currently do on that character... so, for example, if I log in with my main(s), people would get to see the DPS icon for me, if I play on my argonian alt, they see the tank icon, and if I go for my altmer alt, the healer icon... that sort of thing.

Of course... then there could also be an option to rightclick a friend for "show character list" and see all the characters on their account, and their levels, factions and roles... so you could ask them "Hey, you wanna switch to your tank and do a dungeon run with me?"

I think the notes do a god enough job. If you have a player that usually tanks dungeons with you, are you going to not ask them if they are on a low-level alt at the time? Of course not.
