Grimnaur✭✭✭PS4Yeah, the no text chat thing is kinda crappy. I will also be missing just a couple of add ons. I still think it will be fun, and the good thing is if I don't like it, I can just come back to PC. I was just thinking of my experience with FFXIV and console games like Skyrim.

Sure there will be some drawbacks of what we used on pc (chat, addons, etc) but you also have to see the good side of it.
1) No one will have addons, not just you
. That will promote exploration and everything you will achieve by that (find chests, books, e.t.c.) you know that will matter cause other people will have to search for them too and not just follow a map pin. It will create a very early MMO feeling, where we didn't had addons and you cannot just alt-tab to a site to see where to go. So there will be exploration.
2) Zero bots. You farm 2 hours mobs for materials or you run around 1+ hour to gather material and this has value...you wont see bots around gather your nodes and you will not feel like someone else is sleeping right now while he has a bot gather materials for 8 hours for him.
3) Introduction of new MMO players. Lets face it. PC MMO players are all jaded and burned out on MMOs...their playstyle is rush to endgame, kill kill kill to get loot loot loot. We are lot the maturity, the noobish behaviour and eventually our social interactions on MMOs. Console will bring lot of people who never played MMOs before and I hope that it will create a "Vanilla wow" feeling.

Complete balderdash. Been around since early access and STILL have no add ons installed.
No text chat definitely is a big strike against, though.
I also don't own a console. And will not ever again, not since graduating to PC gaming.I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
3) Difficulty slider.
4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.0 -
