Craglorn - The Corrupted Stone: 4-person requirement removed? (No, still there)

So I was running Craglorn quests with friends. We started with The Corrupted Stone, which 3 of us had already done before we moved to one of the others.

When we got to the part of the Ruins of Kardala where you stand on the stones, the 3 of us who had done the quest stood on the stones and asked our friend who hadn't done the quest yet to "do the honours" and open the door.

It didn't open for him. We went and tried, and sure enough we could go in. So he went to the stepping stones and as he stepped on each of them, they lit up for him (they were already lit for us) and he was then able to enter.

So I'm thinking that this means that quest can now be done with less than 4 players. Has anyone else had this experience?

Huh, I hadn't heard of this change... Can anyone else confirm this? I haven't yet done any Craglorn questing, but this would certainly make it more accessible (from what I understand it's often difficult to find a group to do quests with in Craglorn).

Great, maybe now some more people can complete that quest chain and get 12k xp and some green decon fodder.

A friend helped with the stones when I went through that. He had already completed it and was still allowed to enter and even help fight the boss.

I assure you four people are still required. It just registers as complete (the stone requirement, etc) regarding the trigger.

Had he gone alone, the door would likely not activate.

The good news is, it is repeatable in order to assist those that have not done it, otherwise it would be painful at best, waiting for everyone to be on exactly the same quest page.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

Hope they remove all the stupid multiple player lock thingies. Craglorn would be the best single player content without that crap at the current difficulty.

I will see if I can get someone else who hasn't done the quest through with 3 people who already have and see what happens.

My Templar just went through that about a month or so ago and I didn't notice it, but I think everybody in our group that time needed the quest.

If they removed this one (which I'm trying to verify), that will leave only The Missing Guardian and the Spellscar daily quest that have group locks, won't it?

Did this with a 3 person group the other night. I had already done the quest, but the other 2 hadn't. Still, the stones lit up and we were able to enter the room.

I'd love it if it means you can do this solo, and would love it more if they'd remove all group requirements from Craglorn.

I hope this means I can finish The Missing Guardian now.
I have been (sort of) trying to find 4 people to help me open the door to the last delve.

I think the Missing Guardian still requires 4 people, but I haven't tried yet.

My templar is half-way through the questline, so I should be able to test it soon.

After further research, I am sad to say that, no, the Corrupted Stone quest still requires 4 people to open the door to the last boss.

    :-(
