PS4 battery question

Hi All

I'm new to the PS4 family so I have a question or two.

I read the battery life on the controller isn't all that great. Haven't used it for an extended period of time but I will when ESO goes to console.

First I read this about replacing the battery:
"The PS4 controller has a 1000mAh battery, but you can buy a 2000mAh DualShock 4
replacement battery and install it yourself. It’s not as tricky as you might think, and
will double your controller’s battery life although it will void the warranty".

Second I saw this sounds ok it's about the Venom rechargeable battery pack:

Here are my thoughts:
1. Get a second controller and put the 2000mAh battery in it so I wouldn't void the warrenty.
2. Get the Venom battery pack and use it on my original controller.
3. Or just get a second controller.

Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I know it's not an elegant solution but a USB extension cable works just fine for ~ $10

I use this 2 controller charger base. Looks great and you always have a fresh controller ready to go.

What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

That does work great but if you only have one controller (like the OP does) you will still have to wait while it charges.

And the battery life on the PS4's Dualshock is indeed much shorter than the PS3's... about 1/3 of the play time if that.

This should be posted on Sony support forum for the best assistance and it's not related to this game

That looks great, I'll look into it. I can get a second controller that's not a problem. I'm retired and play a lot some days, more than I should probably :).

    Thanks for the responses
