Used wayshrine...fell to my death! Did this ever happen to anyone?

I've been playing quite a while and never encountered this before. I traveled via wayshrine from one city to another...from Riften to Windhelm, I think. Instead of appearing on the ground next to the wayshrine, I materialized far, far, above it! And then I helplessly looked at the city below my as I plummeted to my doom. What the heck! I'm not mad; I thought it was hilarious. But it sure is a strange bug. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes. Much like Gazebos, Wayshrines lie in wait, unleashing their deadly attacks when you least expect them.

Edit: it's probably worth mentioning that I'm not just making a joke - exactly what you describe has happened to me once when I was using a Wayshrine to get to Sentinel in Alik'r.

me too at the exact same wayshrine but i was lucky and i only fell in the ocean nearby, then i got eaten by slaughterfish !

I went through a phase that every time I wayshrined to Riften(VR10) I materialised way, way above the wayshrine........

Sometimes I died, sometimes I didn't........

Which is weird in itself......

There's a pub in the city I live in where they've got a ton of games, and people go there specifically to play games with friends while drinking. Munchkin is one of the most popular games there: if you really want to play it there you should bring your own copy, because odds are someone is already going to be using the pub's copy.

I love the game partly because it's just fun, partly because it appeals to the old-school D&D player in me (yes, I have all of the AD&D 1e books), and partly because all 4 of my nephews love it too (they're ages 10-13), so it's a fun thing we can do together.
