Armor Set Tease...

Came across an NPC named Nilwen wearing this set of armor.

Needless to say I was disappointed to find out it's not obtainable in game yet...which leads to a few questions?

Are there plans to release it via drop, quest or crafting?
Is it meant to be the official Thieves Guild armor as the symbol indicates?
Why do you tease me Zenimax?

Gads, hope not. Prefer it's part of the Thieves Guild/Dark Brotherhood quest series or dungeons.

Obviously this is what it I thought it was...a tease...with no info about it. Bummer.

Pretty sure it will come with the thieves guild, which likely will be a DLC.

Might be a style that can be learned, might be a style used for special sets obtainable only from TG vendors much like the current akaviri-style PvP stuff. Might even start as the latter and later become available as the former, as the PTB decide.

And of course they tease us! I for one love to see stuff that we might get someday...

Yep, sadly anything remotely cool ( and even stuff that is complete trash(pets)) will now go straight to the crown store.

I don't understand why this is sad. ZOS has to make money somehow. You expect to buy the game for $60 as is and then receive new content for free? Do you buy a car and then expect all your tire replacements to be free as well? Maybe your college books? No? Well then why do you do it here?

Some of us subscribed for a year and all we got was Craglorn (which I still haven't even done). Craglorn, though pants, was actually essential for the game. The game goes B2P, Craglorn gets nerfed to 0. ZOS announce that all planned free content is on hold and when it is released will be paid DLC. Thousands (like me) unsub due to lack of content and are quite disappointed they'll have to wait a long time and pay for it to actually own it.

We weren't told about the crown store when we first got into the game, we were told its gonna be sub only.
Now we have to buy all content, fluff or not. There are 2 ways, money or sub but subbing has no benefit whatsoever, it is the same game and will be for another year.

How can you compare that to buying a car?

To be honest, looks just like all the other armor we have in game, I'd probably run by and not even notice a difference at all.

Wheres all the cool armor at YO??? Like Glass armor??
Where's all the non rerunned elder scrolls armor too???
Getting a feeling like I'm playing WII, Zelda game comes out... Ocarina of Time for the 6th time.
Give me some NEW armor that was never in elder scrolls. Also put in the GOOD looking armor that was in the elder scrolls too, Glass was bad ...

That reminds me of Dynasty Warriors, making re runned armors/outfits on DLC. Didn't buy any of it, very pissed at them for doing that too.

I have no problem buying armors in DLC, but it better be NEW, and not something dumb like "hey you can craft glass, but it costs 5000 crowns!"

One of main reasons why I don't think Dynasty Warriors is doing that good anymore, keeps doing re runned outfits.
You look at Grand Theft Auto... That game continuously changes up the outfits and such to make it look like a new game.

You keep re running outfits the game will become unappealing.

BETTER YET
Look at GW2,
completely different outfits than GW1.
YET people in GW2 would like to see outfits in GW1 because they did a fantastic job in making armor and outfits in GW1.

That's how this game should've been, should've went all out with new outfits since the game is 1000 years prior to where the singleplayer game is at. Shouldn't even had deadric armor available... It should've hyped up daedric armor. Dragon armor didn't even look that good, most the armors that look good are inbetween the best and the worst qualities.

The only armor missing that I'd like to see back that I can think off top my head right now is Glass armor.

The set shown in this post looks uniquely different imo...even the legs/boots which to me think they are going in the right direction.

Please just keep it in the same vein of realism and don't go all godly WoW type.

Oh and release this armor pronto.

Is she the one that sends you off to fight all sorts of "terrifying" beasts that turn out to be skeevers and such? I don't remember her wearing armour like that, but I think the last time I encountered her was pre-1.6.

Good find @Rayek! I'd be willing to bet that it's the upcoming Thieves Guild armour. Whether that ends up being a craftable motif, or a dropped-only style, or one that can be obtained only via questing is an excellent question.

Yup it had that exact logo on it remember flipping out when I saw it the first time. sorry guys. also go check out Craglorn's thieves hideout another NPC has that same armor but with a hood on.

WoW? Please I'd never recommend anything to be more like WoW.

However more like Diablo 2 type armor... Yes I'd fully agree with that.

The NPC being there since launch just further supports my thinking of all armor in this game looks relatively the same.
I think the armor being same from the Elder Scrolls series kinda makes it dry too. We really need more NEW armor and less re runned armor.

My university did include 99.9% of books I needed in tuition and there was no cost difference for Med students versus anyone else. So yes I would expect the ability to earn enough gold to pretty much buy anything in game. Any armor or what not should be obtainable through questing even if it was the most ridiculous quest ever.

I understand the need for subscriptions and crown store but there should be an ability to earn towards crowns without paying money even if it was tedious and extremely slow.

PS the tire analogy really refers to your PC and not a piece of 1010101000111000 armor which is more of a map update on the car gps. By the way Tesla does include a lot of things including free energy for their vehicles if I am not mistaken. Again not against crowns and in the end it is what it is but would prefer to have crowns apply more to new regions and less to small things like this.
