Go to Office Depot or Best Buy or similar and put your hands on the mouse itself. Each one will feel a little different and the buttons on one may be easier for your manipulate than another one. Once you know, then buy it where ever you think you will get the best price (hint, Best Buy will match Amazon prices in store so print out those pages from amazon before you go there)

Now, that being said, do your self a favor and get a wired mouse no matter what you choose. You will have better gaming performance.

Personally, I use the Death Adder by Razor, but the Logitechs are nice mice too.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Dont choose mouse only basing your opinion wheter it has "gaming" label or not
In most cases its overpriced stuff and you just pay for "Gaming" label - thats how those companies make money. They make normal mouse, slap "gaming" label and double price.

Ask yourself a question, are you going to really use all those keys? Its good to try out mouses in store. I have a nice big mouse and i like how my fingers place on it. My friend bought different mouse and the keys are so close together i cant stand using it.

And yes for wired mouses. Its better to buy wired mouse than cheap wireless.

The main thing is the size of the mouse, and some what the shape. Some people like a large mouse, some like a smaller one, and this has nothing to do with hand size. But if you can't try them out easy, then sometimes you just have to take a chance.

I would personally get all confused with the Razor Naga Hex, but I also don't play so that i need a bunch of buttons on the mouse. Others do, and that's why they make mice with lots of buttons. However, I do like my Razor Death Adder.

I also like their keyboard with backlit keys, I can play in the dark so the game looks better, and see where I am pressing. I also like the Razor profile software, especially for the keyboard. I finally disabled my caps lock key this weekend and now I no longer YELL in chat.

In what world does anyone ever use Caps Lock anyway?

You don't need loads of extra buttons for ESO I think 4 minimum is nice as this (+ mousewheel button) covers all your skills.

I swear by my Corsair M95 but i think the Logitech g700 (which i use at work) with its 4 extra thumb buttons would be good too. Maybe the Naga hex too rather than the full Naga with loads of buttons.

I've tried many different models and brands. The one I love the most is the Logitech G502 Proteus Core. I 100% recommend everything about this mouse. It feels good in my hand, has adjustable weight, a nice texture and is very responsive with adjustable dpi ranges. The software for it works very nicely too.

I changed the hex fpr the new naga with 12 mech buttons, much better haptics and i was able to map other keys like dogde/interupt/weapon change/auto run/free mouse on it.

@Nestor, I've remapped CL to Command Familiar (I have no Pets.)

It's right there by the movement keys that way for quick access without fumbling the keyboard or moving my hands.

You could easily remap to Ult, Weapon Swap, Mount, or synergy for other possibilities. The idea being, the less you have to relocate your hand, the less likely you are to miss a key or hit the wrong one.

Most of the important keys I have double mapped, as well. I'll be damned if moving one hand will prevent me from activating whatever I need to do right now.

Do you honestly see a performance difference between wired/wireless at close range? (Overall DPS, for instance? How much are we talking?)

Personally I think Logitech is missing some major opportunity by not offering a gaming Trackball.

@Faugaun , M570 works like a charm, has extra buttons (just not as many as a true gaming mouse would. (Center click and two on the side), and costs 1/5th the price.

Unfortunately, they only make a wireless version these days.

i use it to toggle run/walk.

    it's an RP thing.

but first thing anyone should do with new programmable keyboard is disable the window button....

I currently rocking a beat up, dirt cheap microsoft wireless mouse 5000. remapped the backward/forward button to dodge roll and interrupt.

if i got more buttons i'd be mapping some animation clip rotation n crazy things like that. now that's a problem for ESO. things like Razer Naga would break any kind of playing field since it's definitely OP. button to dodge left, button to dodge right, replace block with block+attack, button for magnumshot+otherskills, etc...

It's build a little different (good and bad). You own't chase the ball across the room anymore (it has a finger hole for release when you need to clear the dust). I've changed the battery two times in the last year and half. The last one I had seemed to wear a bit faster than the wired version used to, but then again, I've played a lot of ESO and I rarely stand still.

If you like the one you linked, you'll enjoy playing with the 570. They're around $50.

Yeah I really liked the higher end one, but cannot justify the price for a mouse at home, lol

The company gave us 5 to demo so we cruised them for about a month, then decided to bulk purchase:

    http://asolutionaday.com/electronics/kensington-expert-mouse-optical-usb-trackball/

Which might be a decent track ball for eso also (defiantly buy the wrist pad with it though). I'm biased towards thumb balls. Then Kensington is a little hypersensitive sometimes though.

Been using them almost exclusively for about a decade. ironically, the wired versions used to be about $10-$20 cheaper than the wireless.

The M570 has a similar setup - it's actually a 5 button (Two side, two standard, center click, and scroll wheel) I'm partial to the offside version, as well.

I use a razr naga and it us fantastic. I bind my abilities on the 1-5 buttons on the mouse, my sneak is binded to 6 and my weapon swap is binded to the first button on top of the mouse. Many different options for you as far as your key binds go. Plus it just looks really cool haha

This right here. I've been using a Razer Naga Hex since my Eve Online days. Turns out it's perfect for ESO. Has 6 programable thumb buttons (other buttons on top) which is the same amount of skills you can put on your bar in ESO.

If I could recommend anything it would be this mouse. It's cheap and a great fit for ESO.

It's more a question of who ever uses Caps Lock in any normal situation, ever. Ever since we got Extended Ascii back in the prehistoric days of PCs (8bit) we don't need to type in all caps anymore.

Anyway, as far as the mouse. I used a Wireless Mouse for years, including a Logitech gaming mouse. When I went to the Wired mouse, games just felt more responsive. Not anything I can put my finger on, but just felt better playing. I doubt it was a difference in DPS between the Razor and the Logitech or Microsoft mouse I was using, as the Logitech has similar stats in that regard. The Logitech did not give me that difference, just more buttons.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
