Quad SLI GTX590, DX11, Fullscreen and geforce experience

Geforce experience is telling me to optimise ESO with Fullscreen but I can't seem to get it to work with DX11. I get next to no scaling and a weird flickering red bands on the screen. Seems to work perfectly in Window mode.

Trollwut✭✭✭GeForce Experience tells me to set games to Medium settings, where I can play any game on full settings with over 60 FPS.
It's a program that just collects data of how games remain liquid. It just recommends.
If you want to know how to get DX11 and fullscreen working, you may need to provide further information and ask a different question.1 -

✭✭✭✭Open your usersettings.txt file under My Documents/Elder Scrolls Online
Scroll down and find the following line:
SET GraphicsDriver.7 "D3D11"
Change it to
SET GraphicsDriver.7 "D3D9"
Reboot PC
then change to Fullscreen mode under game settings.
If this doesn't work, simply change it back to D3D11 by copying the previous line above back into your user settings file and rebooting PC.
SLI and Crossfire for that matter don't work very well in this game. The game engine simply doesn't scale it very well, and its CPU bound which makes it worse.

Cauthorn✭✭Thanks @woodsro. I was aware of how to drop it back to DX9 and yes it works in Fullscreen mode; however, the load balance between cards, SLI scaling and frame rate are much better when using DX11.
I had been in XP compatible mode with DX9 since launch and it was only recently that I swapped because texture loading when entering a building was being delayed. I was then surprised to find that Fullscreen just didn't work but that Fullscreen (Windowed) provided a better experience than DX9 was previously.

Screenshot ... well I was going to include one but you wouldn't believe it; I can't seem to replicate the problem!
Having it in Fullscreen (Windowed) does seem to prevent those annoying memory thrashing reports and windows wanting to switch off Aero desktop and there doesn't appear to be any noticeable difference in frame rates.
Problem resolved I guess?

SLI will work in Windowed Full Screen Mode(Borderless Window) but according to Nvidia its not optimal and doesn't scale as well, however if its working for you now, then continue with it. Don't try to fix whats not broken.
Us AMD Crossfire users are not so luck as the way Crossfire works it must be in exclusive fullscreen or Crossfire won't function.

Thanks mate, that was what was frustrating me. I am experiencing the exact opposite from what they say should be "optimal" and hence the fiddling commenced. Its going to bug me every time I look at Geforce Experience!
