Sadly, I was hoping for new information. At least they came out and said what they have been dancing around the last few ESO Live episodes. Orsinium is second.

Orsinium is a city in the area called Wrothgar, so they are in the same DLC.

It'll be after that I'm sure. They are going to have plenty of fires to put out with the console release.

That's assuming they even remember that they have a PC player base come September.

There's considerable resistance to putting out DLC just after releasing a game - people think they are being ripped off if the content was already there but held back. As ZoS seem to be putting their eggs in the console basket I don't think they will want to release DLC until console players are ready for it.

Probably in time for Christmas :(

But I do wonder how they are going to cope with all the VR14 players copying their accounts over to console with their pockets stuffed with gold and legendary items, and nothing to do except grind CP...

I don't expect DLC before August, late July.

I am expecting a maintenance on PTS soon, if only to bring it up to current or do a character copy. The next major update will hit PTS a few weeks before it is going to be released.

It is too soon to be expecting anything Update related on PTS, but something is up, and I don't think it is all console.

I don't think they should release the imperial city as a paid dlc but as a free update since it was supposed to be a part of PVP in the first place

Well... anyone who does not think that Imperial City is, for all intents and purposes, done and just waiting for console to get out of the way has not been paying attention.

    NomadMorlock says:
    • launches less than 60 days after console launch
    • one DLC every 60 days or so through fall

I think that within 60 days after launch is a reasonable guess for Imperial City. I have made pretty much the same guess, already, so I am hardly one to disagree.

Every 60 days, every 8 weeks, is too aggressive.

When you only have a half dozen bullets to fire, they have to last you until you can get more. I expect a much more measured pace, like 4 major updates per year. They could do 2 this year if they get all of the guar lined up correctly.

Well, there are loads of empty zones on the map. Vvardenfell, Summerset island, South of Hammerfell, South of Blackmarsh etc.... They'll come up with something. Plus spell crafting, the second part of justice system...

Since they want to spread people out in cryodiil, I am not surprised the IC seems to have a new priority on the dlc list, I guess it depends on how well console release goes as to how long after they release before we see any dlc's my best guess August/September and I feel like I am being optimistic even with that guess. I am just glad to know IC and other new content will be on the way, I have to believe a lot of this stuff has been in development for a while now.

There are a lot of places for ZOS to expand to in this game, that is true.

I am guessing that there is one place that ZOS will stay away from, and that is the location already penciled in for TES 6. BGS will want to create a land where people are not constantly comparing it to what is in ESO. If Fallout is the next BGS game, it will be 3 or 4 years before TES 6 comes out and probably in the neighborhood of 10-12 years before TES 7, if there is ever a TES 7.

I'm more interested to know if the area will be in fact a area thatu can cross the bridge and enter or if it will be instanced as instanced can lead to waiting in que to get back into PVP.

On the Horizon I await the story of the lands far off past the great seas where the Dwemer race will actually be found along with another humanoid race which will lead to et further story line and land/world to discover for DL content

The important bit to me is whether it will be DLC or a free system update.

Darkness Falls entry rights in DAoC was a very nice PVP motivator for PVErs that wanted access to one of that game's best PVE spots.

It got many people to check out PVP that wouldn't have otherwise... some even surprised themselves by liking it.

An IC done well, would also be a pretty unique feature that most other themepark MMOs lack. It could be a big hit that helps to differentiate ESO from the rest of the MMORPG pack. I'd hate to see it behind a DLC paywall.

I think it would be wise for ZOS to have the Imperial City be included in a free content update (2.1? 2.2?), as this way you avoid the "Day 1 DLC" mudslinging among the new console players, and honor the PC players who have been waiting for this since last fall when they said at the Guild Summit that IC was in the "polishing" phase. I would imagine the first major update of this sort after console launch would hit the PTS in mid-late August. Then, I would think Orsinium would be released as paid DLC in November-December after issues with IC calm down.
