DISCLAIMER: This is my opinion AS A DK though hopefully most will agree with me, ALSO anything related to PvE i do not give 2 *** about so don't even bother thank you.This is just my 2 cents on the state of the PvP so far, I dont have any fancy math to go with this hoping to start a large discussion so people like Ezareth etc can do it for me and so Zos will HAVE to take notice of the broken state of PvP.

Dynamic Ultimate: Still have no idea what the changes to ultimate were supposed to do, it has not alleviated any problems with the game and has made the game far more static, also you have done nothing to help support the small bomb groups when fighting larger foes, dynamic ultimate greatly assisted in decimating those groups. What you could have done is simply increase the BASE COST of all ultimate's simples right? IMHO i do believe that with the entirely new meta dynamic ultimate would really fit the game right now

Ultimate Changes: Changes still need to be made to some ultimates however changing the ultimates and making them WEAKER when its a lot more difficult to generate them makes very little sense, in particular (as a DK still & Sorc) changing the Standard to 250 ultimate makes absolutely no sense whatsoever it really doesnt and i have no words for it, Nova still costs to much IMHO and the Negate is now more or less useless i have yet to see anyone using it, reverting it back to its previous state is greatly advised with a few modifications such as lowering the resource % return to 10% and continuing to monitor from there.The Nighblade Ultimate Soul Harvest? does a HELL of a lot of damage which in imo needs to be looked at especially considering it costs a mere 50 ultimate points :neutral:

Synergies: Something is completely wrong, the activation of synergies has become incredibly difficult with the 1.6 update, i find it almost impossible to activate the Standard's shackle synergy which is incredibly annoying, because of the difficulty of activating them, i rarely see synergies in my death recap as people no longer try to activate them. Suggestion is to revert it back to the code used before 1.6

HP to Magicka & Stamina Ratio: The original ratio was 1.5:1:1, with the lowered mitigation and incredibly low FPS Call Of Duty TTK the new ratio I find does not grant enough HP to player in general to survive getting randomly 1shot with every second attack in Cyrodiil I would like to see either the ratio brought back to its old standpoint or mitigation in general needs to be looked at

Mitigation with armor: TBH i dont think there is anything wrong with the changes i do think LA was nerfed a bit to heavily not on the physical side but magical, its well known that in fantasy games light armor is for mages and protects against spells etc, again Maulkin had a nice table which I personally thought was pretty solid in how the armors should mitigate damage

Shields: Either they all need to scale on HP or on Magicka yes Sorc's im blaming you for this, it does not make sense for a class to have shields that scale off mana and the others to scale off HP, yes it made sense when you could have a decent HP pool with your other 2 resources but now it doesn't unless resource pools will be changed

Softcaps: Bring them back 'nuff said

TTK: This isnt CoD or BF4 or CS or whatever FPS shooter if i wanted ttk to be this low I'd play those games instead, it really should not be possible to instagib people from full to zero in 2 attacks

Morph Balance: Some skills are complete garbage when compared to there other morphs wtf is Shattering Rocks does anyone even use that one, or fragmented shield trolol?? some morphs need to be looked at and changed to be brought in line with other skills e.g. Shifting Standard should have 17sec duration but can be moved anywhere for the period. Also the stamina magicka split is not a the best way to go about making stamina viable, what you should have done was made every morph have a stamina version eg Magicka GDB plus a STAMINA GDB

Transparency/Communication: I understand that things need to be kept internally within the company but for a game like this that's a big no no to your player base, having to beg and plead to get 3 words from some random employee not actually involved is very uplifting, no really it is, you need to better communicate with your player base.Remember like 2 weeks back or whatever when Wheeler was posting msgs everywhere everyone was freaking out because we were getting some communication with the DEVS and it was glorious. Then he died again kinda ruined the hope we all had that ZOS would start to better communicate with their players

PS seriously the new animations have got to go execept the crushing shock one, the rest are garbage and slow as *** you gotta take a look at it, WTB 1.1 fire imulse vfxpersonal gripe but i cant stand them plus they may take up data that need not be taken, eg DK new wings WTF old one was fine

In conclusion never just remake *** that has been established from scratch it never works and you will break more things than you fix

    But you wrote the thread the same day as new crown store items were released, so the chances of ZOS responding... I guess they have to sell some horses before as much as acknowledging an issue with pvp :)

    Don't blame you.

    That they launched 2.0 and then didn't do a final balance pass like other games do in favor of locking the code down for console release is downright offensive.

    On a purely cosmetic note, lots of the new animations look just plain dumb. Was it really necessary to make my character look like he has take the worlds biggest sh!t when he's holding a destro staff?

    Jurra, good points all of them. I think you and I are on the same page. Here is my post from a previous thread which got closed b/c people decided to troll it rather than be constructive.
    Disclaimer: I love ESO PvP. The Cyrodiil zone is amazing. I still remember with fondness the first time I stepped onto the map as a level 10. I love the large-scale engagements. I think that keep fights are fun and strategic. I like running into (fighting) people out in the world when roaming. I enjoy tight, tactical group play. The combat style is an excellent mix of MMO with action/reactive play. The towns and clutter are really neat. I want to fight there more often!!

    TLDR: The core issues which plague ESO PvP have yet to be addressed. There is another couple of months before we expect any large patches or content updates; predict that large swaths of the PvP community will leave. No updates or information from ZoS through the spring (since 1.6) has strengthened this view.

    Patch 1.6 has been out for approximately seven weeks. The PvP meta has mostly -- albeit not entirely -- shaken out. ZOS has stated that they are hard at work on the console launch which is scheduled for June, six weeks from now.

    I have compiled my list of issues for Cyrodiil PvP which I believe threaten continued fair/fun play. I make only a few statements about how to address them. In general, these statements are simply to ask ZOS to respond.

    1. Performance. Always the first and foremost. Fix this and the rest will solve themselves. It has been worse since 1.6 dropped. ZOS statements have only included "spread out," which is simply hilarious given the way the game was advertised and how the map is constructed. The players have suggested hundreds of things to help address server performance. The PvP playerbase needs to see some work being done on this. For example, I will gladly pull a group together and go spam healing springs and impulse on the PTS if ZOS were willing to try some changes or updates. An anecdote from last night: Chillrend NA, approx. 2000 EST: The EP zerg (40+) heads to bleakers to fight the DC zerg (40+). Except that an AD zerg (40+) showed up. The server immediately lagged out. Thankfully, a good portion of the EP zerg backed off to save a catastrophic crash. Regardless, half my group crashed. The other half quit for another server in disgust.
    1.5. Vision. What is Crodiil PvP? Where is it headed? Do y'all play with any of the competitive guilds? Any future balance changes in the works? New gameplay modes?
    2. Imperial City. Where is it? Why are we still waiting? ETA? Preview video? Anything?
    3. Population Balance. The ESO PvP population is NOT evenly distributed between EP/DC/AD. It is not fun to fight when you outnumber the enemy. It is also not fun to fight when hugely outnumbered.
    4. Unbalanced scaling since 1.6. Removal of the softcaps have had a detrimental impact on gameplay because the skill scaling wasn't thoroughly tested. Too many examples to list here. Itemization is also part of this problem. A pretty large sweep of balance changes need to be made. Nobody enjoys one-shot, one-kill gameplay -- otherwise we would be playing counterstrike. On the other hand, nobody enjoys unkillable tanks.
    5. Nirnhoned. This is part of (4). It is also a can of worms. Regardless, it is a huge issue. Needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
    6. Bugs and Inconsistency in the CC Mechanics. These are rage-inducing. Any skill which cause loss of control of your character needs to be carefully analyzed. Examples include Fear, Petrify, Invasion, Chains, Biting Jabs, &c -- all of which act differently. Why? What should they do? Need some statements so that they can be tested to provide better feedback.
    7. Hidden Calculations and Incomplete API. All calculations are hidden from the player. The API doesn't provide enough information to effectively manage DoTs, HoTs, debuffs. I know the ZOS statements. Y'all are wrong. Players desire and need this information. It helps improve gameplay. AND it helps test for bugs.
    8. Inconsistent Itemization. Armor traits. Ridiculous RNG (dungeons, PvP rewards, VDSA). Bind-on-pickup. Boring sets.

    Discuss. Please keep it constructive.

    Additions:
    9. Ultimate Gain. The static ultimate gain system of 1.6 favors zerg/group play heavily. Please revert to a dynamic, skill-based system which rewards good play so that smaller groups have a chance of breaking up larger groups.
