Crashing

My game has just crashed twice in the past ten minutes. I don't know what's going on, the past couple days (I just got the game) it's been running fine.

At this point, nobody really knows what the problem is except possibly certain ESO employees.

Its been suggested by others that the "frequent" crashing problems (every few minutes) most people are experiencing are related to the new justice system and therefore are not "fixable" by the end user. This would have to wait until it was resolved in a patch.

ESO has admitted the existence of a memory leak that affects some players, but this would most likely occur less frequent as the ESO memory leak slowly pushes the game memory footprint beyond what Windows is able to address.

That means I have to skip ESO for now. Planning for months to play this game now. Guess i have to wait!

You don't have to wait. You maybe be one of the lucky ones that the game works fine for. Many people are not experiencing crashes. If I go by guild response, it seems like only 10%-20% of players are experiencing crashes...I have no idea how accurate that assessment is though.

Wily_Wizard deserves some recognition for sticking with the game despite his mysterious crashing problem, and more so for deciding to help out in the forums.

What I find even worse than ZOS's inaction on this are the forum jockeys that seem to think blaming end user hardware and specs is the resolution to the issue.

Nearly everyone experiencing the problems today were running pristine just a couple months ago on systems that have not changed one iota in between.

The issue is with ZOS failing to stay within design parameters it used at launch and in beta, and bloating the game beyond what it was advertised to run at.

What is even funnier than that is some of these Ferrari level systems are also suffering the same symptoms. Yep, its totally our machines, connections, configurations, gotta be it.

ZOS is trying to force a 32 bit client to do things it simply cannot. Adding more fluff to please the power users with monster rigs all in the name of shininess is actually gutting performance for the rest, and even some of those same power users at the same time.

Stay within the design boundaries of the 32 bit client, stop trying to be innovative with 15 year old technology, and either offer a 64 bit version for the power gamer, or just roll the damn game back to where it worked for all platforms.
