Templar Skills in PvP - Unstable Core/Eclipse/Total Dark

Just asking this question for a second time, as far as I know the tooltip for Eclipse says

"Evelop enemy in a lightless sphere that reflects back any harmful single target spells the enemy casts for 5 seconds."

The tooltip says single target yet recently it has been reflecting everything from Dark Talons to Soul Tether, both skills that Im almost positive are not single target.

So is this skill working as intended? Or is this a bug thats waiting to be fixed?

Would be nice if it's intended. As it is Eclipse is more often than not a waste of magicka to cast since it is subject to CC immunity and breaking, which means a lower cost stun or disorient would have much the same effect except Eclipse doesn't lock down movement. As it is it's only worth using on NPCs and new players who don't know what the super-obvious black sphere is.

What I hate about this, is how clunky the break free is, you have to spend over a second breaking free from it so you can cast again.

After testing this a bit more we found that this does not reflect unmorphed talons or choking talons, which leads me to believe this is a bug involving burning talons. If it was intended then I would guess the other morphs would be reflected as well which they're not.

I never reflected talons. Although sometimes I notice that attacks are not property reflected.

Probably a bug...

Yeah, I found this out too, if someone could video tape it and post it that would be really helpful. If someone uses eclipse on you and it reflects your Burning Talons you basically run at 200% speed...if not more...

Worthless skill, i guess they can fix the bug that it reflect ae skills. Noone will use in pvp anyway. PVE it still will work i guess.

I don't see why this skill is worthless either...it negates pretty much all magicka damage unless they break free. Seems like the ultimate sorc counter in my opinion

When they break free it's subject to immunity. Quite often when using it you find yourself mashing the button for 5 seconds before it goes off because the target was immune. A skill that has no other effect and can't be relied upon to be casted is not worth having. The only time it was good to have on your bar was pre 1.6 since it negated DK wings. When DK emps couldn't reflect any damage they went down pretty fast.

That sums it up why its worthless in PVP well written! I can add that you can't even cast it when projectiles still are heading toward you like with reflect from shield and sword line, or DK reflect can. The ones in air, still hit ya.

The skill is worthless in PVP it basicly give enemy free CC immunity + you cannot recast it until immunity gone. I guess sorcs complained to zenimax about not being able to kill ppl when they had eclipse on themself, so zenimax added CC immunity to it, making it worthless.

I feel like I somehow see I've been Eclipsed far too late, and sometimes end up hitting myself with possibly even two light weaved crushing shocks. Then I break free and it takes ages.

In general, I wish the break free animation didn't take such an awfully long time to do.

I don't mind if zos will change Eclipse to self-cast that giving 20% evade chance like nbs'(Total Dark) one or 15% to reflect spells/melee damage (Unstable Core). It will help templars with their heavy nerfed defense capability and grant them pretty cool visual buff

I'd really appreciate an answer to this @ZOS_GinaBruno its been bugged like this since the start of 1.6 and I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere. Eclipse is reflecting skills which clearly aren't single target, is this intended or not?
