Most Versatile Class & Race

I am planning to start an alt for the first time. What is the most versatile class & race combination, i.e. easier to switch to healing, tank and dps? I think the most versatile combination is an Imperial Templar.

Templar..but race depends on your choices. No one can answer that for you

It has to be Templar because that's the only class that can heal effectively

For PvE it's definitely templar. Second best tank, best healer, decent magicka dps and top stamina dps.

Race is a bit more tricky. Guys that cant make up their mind about stamina/magicka should probably go Imperial, since the health bonus works for any build.

But you cant really switch between stamina dps, tank build and healing on a daily basis, to expensive. If you want to do all 3 roles easy without a reset of attributes and CP, you better aim for a magicka build. Meaning a magicka based race like Breton, will be a good choice to. Tanks also benefits from magicka passives, spell resist and cost reduction.

Imperial. Either Templar or DK probably. And as @eliisra stated probably a magicka build. My understanding is they're is no such thing a stamina healer. I'm not sure how viable magicka tanks are though.

Imperial DK if you want a good self heal with cheap costs.

I'm a dunmer vampire DK running heavy armor, restro and fire staff, and sword and board when tanking is needed. I find myself running various roles quite easily.

Imperial is most definitely the most versatile race, hands down.

I'd say Templar is probably the most versatile class, though this is the only class that I don't personally play. : P
