Resistance?
Spell resistance how does it work, and what does it cover?
I have full legendary plate all with HP(Undunted bastion, and Footman) (VET 14)1h, shield. Maximum health = 25k(Magicka build), spell resistance = 27k and physical resistance = 23k.
Still i get hit for over 15k sometimes and magic and physical seem to hit me like a truck all the time both form players and npc's.
I really don't see any use of HA compared to LA an MA in the overall picture?

✭No matter how high your spell resistance is, you can only stop 50% of the damage.
So if your at the hard cap (damage mitigation is the only thing with a cap now) and your getting hit for 15k, then the raw spell would of been doing 30k.
Also most of the mage glass canons builds put all their CP points into spell resistance bypass, so they can ignore most of your spell resistance. That's why they use Nirnhoned trait weapons.Edited by Natjur on May 3, 2015 9:48PM0 -

✭32500 is the current V14 caps to get to resistance cap (50% mitigation) but you will need more if they are using spell penetration.
Basic Formula: ( ARMOR - ARMOR ÷ 50 ) ÷ 630 = Mitigation %
The 630 is you level (49+vr14=63) * 10 = 630
