I had never tried invisibility potions (I am a Nightblade :)) so I do not know the answer to the following questions:
1. Do they still work against Detect Potions?
2. Do they still work against Piercing Mark?
3. Do they break with damage over time effects?
4. Do they break with AOE damage?

    Really easy answers on this,

    1. No, you will be knocked out of invisibility if you are in the area and their detect potion is still running.
    2. You will turn Invisible to others but the person who cast piercing mark will still see you.
    3. Yes it will if you get a DOT on you.
    4. Yes it will if you take AOE damage.

Cooldown for potions is like 45 secs so you can't spam them either.. :disappointed:

I tested this when 1.6 went live, so unless they changed how the invisibility potions work, the answers should still be the same.
