Questions about horses?

I have an Imperial Horse with every attribute maxed out, but I was thinking of buying a faster horse with the 25% speed bonus for PVP'ing in Cryodill. Will the attributes transfer over from Imperial horse to the new horse, or will I have to start all over again building up the attributes.? Is the 25% speed boost just an attribute increase where the speed is already increased at 25% or is the horse 25% faster at max speed?

Since 1.6x and up, how do you view the attributes of the horses before you buy them? From the description, I'm assuming that the Bay Dun Horse is the new name for the light horse?

I did a search and came up empty on this.

Horses no longer have bonus attributes. All mounts are equal.

Because there are no attributes anymore. It's now a riding skill and exactly the same regardless of which mount "skin" you buy.
All Riding Skills are leveled by training at the Stablemaster and all are the same now. 60/60/60

So there's no point in buying a $42,700 horse over the $1 Imperial horse?
If all mounts are equal, what's the difference between these horses? Each one has a different description.

    $42,700 - Bay Dun
    $42,700 - Brown Paint
    $42,700 - Mdinight Steed
    $10,000 - Sorrel

They look different. That's it. The descriptions are now just flavour text, describing what those horses are known for in the lore.

There is no $1 horse anymore, you can't buy it, it's automatically added to your collection. And no, there are no differences, mounts have no stats of their own and all depend on your riding skill.

Thanks for the info. So it looks like I don't need to upgrade to a faster horse because there isn't any.
