Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• [COMPLETE] ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – April 8, 9:00AM EDT (13:00 UTC) - 6:00PM EDT (22:00 UTC)

Why are the devs so silent in regards to upcoming content lately?

Because console hasn't released and they'll be getting the DLC first, guaranteed! Probably XBOX first.

Strange, because they've said multiple times that they plan to release at the same time.

As many of you have correctly stated, we are currently focused on our upcoming console launch (which is now a month away! Exciting!). After console, we'll begin discussing Imperial City more in-depth.

There should be something more interesting besides of imperial city with new update, give us little bit info, just a little bone :3

Not exciting for PC players, because this means we are content starved and there is no remedy to the problem in the near future.

Can I ask how you justify that response? Do you really think it's ethically okay to treat your PC players this way in favor of the console players you hope to snare? Can you AT LEAST give us an ETA on new content AFTER console release?

This makes no sense. The same crap happens in mass media. When someone refuses to comment on a specific issue, the media makes it's own derpy nonsense up.

Staying silent does nothing but fuel lies, breed hatred, and vastly divide the player base.

Let's say it differently then :

    - if a media or whatever third party says something, it's their problem after all, not ZOS'.
    - On the the contrary, if ZOS says anything, it's pretty much like "anything can and will be used against you"...

That is also the reason why, IF talking at all, ZOS resorts to a "diplomatic tongue" full of "soon, maybe, soon, perhaps, soon, who knows, soon, certainly, soon, never say never, etc..." which is the end is no information at all !

Bud its not her doing it as it will be marketing she is just doing her job. Lol your lucky to see a response at all also ps console version is more than likely going to support eso for years to come. Also mate atleast you get to play instead of waiting on a delayed release for consoles over a year.

Maybe it's because ZoS has no excuse for the lack of content.

They know players are angry. They know they are wrong in focusing solely on the console release and withholding content that was publicized LAST JULY at Quake Con.

At this point they are staying silent, because they know they are in the wrong.

You will get new content in 1 year.
After console release they will spend 1 year fixing console and they will certainly have not time to produce new content. Same thingy happened on PC.

Its just all very bad resource management over there at ZOS.

This reminds me of certain customers in my workplace, they want constant direct updates from the developers, insist they get brought in with managers to 1-3 hour long meetings a week, and if the customers have their email they are constantly bombarding them with 100s of questions, few of which have anything to do with a projects current priority. Then they ask "well, why are you taking so long? Why are you working slower..."

Most of the community managers have been doing their job and being pretty vocal, and most of you know that the console release is the top priority, so why keep wasting time asking about the lack of status updates? Console may not be your thing, but maybe ask "console release going well? Everything on track?" That will be your major indicator when priorities are going to shift back toward other things like content.

Yeah no crap it ticks me off with the oooo we want content crap since at least they got to play the dam game a year ago.
I have clannies still waiting for the console release and they preordered the game before me almost two years ago.

Zen cannot give an answer because the future of the dev team and expacs depends on console sales, since it is BTP that is where they can make the money. If console sales suck and I hope they do, (PC was a 1 year beta for no future zone content saved only for console) the future content with a smaller dev team will be what you get. There is no "road ahead" because they want to know sales units. Any company that was on solid footing would have a 12 month plan, this company with one month to console release does not know their 3 month or 6 month plan that tells you that the sales of units will determine their fate. IMO the lack of bug fixes in 1 year's time for a MMO in 2015 is absurd. Nirnhoned armor is a huge game changing bug in PVP but cant be fixed till a major update but its ok to neef drop rate of purple motis in urns in a weekly patch. BTW the weekly patches they do not address huge bugs, its like they have bare minimum working on weekly patches. Do not wait for a reply from Zen , just look at the silence on the future. No real company would stay that silent on future plans with only one mont to go to console.

you have nothing to say to us pc gamers ? not a thanks for paying for your console development? no thanks for listening to your stories about 4-6 week between content updates? you think the wait of 1 year between the last and the next content update is ok? you left us endgamers alone after we paid you 1 year of suscription and you promised us something in exchange

There's a difference between being vocal and conveying information. Community Management here seems more like a damage control squad than a consumer information desk. EVERY patch they're just out roaming around locking up rage posts, "I quit" threads, and making comments like "soon" which is just a professional vernacular for "Quit asking, no one knows". They talk to us, but there is no information being conveyed, which is the point of a Community Management staff. Community Managers are supposed to be given information from the development team (and vice versa) to ensure everyone in the community is as informed as possible, and that the developers are aware of our concerns. However I'm pretty sure all the Community Managers really take away from these forums is "Well people really like X and Y, but they hate Z...and by Z I mean Zenimax", and all they can add to them is "Soon™".

I don't ask for status updates, I just behave with a level of contempt, coupled with a handful of admittedly petty insults, for not getting status updates...the effin' amateurs (petty insult case and point >:) )

So after launch, you will begin "discussing" IC. To me that means months AFTER console release before any real content.

Just curious, If there is no real content for 3 months or more, why would anyone pay for ESO Plus until that time? Paying $15 a month for 10% XP and 1500 crowns with no DLC for months makes no sense. Players should cancel ESO Plus and resign up for it when the DLC is on PTS.

Console players haven't been paying one year of subscription for promised content never delivered we pc gamers never asked that zenimax should stop development of new content after half a year max. We never asked that they introduce a system that makes existing content a joke (hell dsav just to finish is laughable for us stronger groups now not even talking about trials which are nothing but break all mechanics with more dps ) and leaving us month without content while cyrodil is either laggy or the time to kill is so low that everybody needs to stack shields more then ever which destroys all balancing tries and makes it worse then before with new idiotic fotm builds. And of course the mods are the ones we ask for something they are zenimax' voice and faces and we want to have us heard because currently the direction where this game is heading (single player with dumbed down multiplayer combined with an unbalanced PvP no new user will ever enjoy) is hopefully not what they intend
