To start with, there has been new content. We just got all the skills, and most of the rest of the systems completely renovated only a few months ago. We got a beta for a console release, which is only a few months away. And we still get the small patches and fixes along the way. All that is new content, it's just not the new content you're looking for.
.
Actually none of that is new comtent. I suppose you could make the arguement that the console release is new content for a console player if you wanted. But fixing systems and bug fixes is most certainly not new content.
They should advertise the heck out of all of the upcoming stuff, IMO.

A month to six weeks we were told was the time frame to expect new content. This is the reason that I unsubscribed in August a few months after the game was released.
The devs can't/won't say anything because of how we were led to believe new content was to be released.
I like the no subscription model. If no content is released, that is DLCs, I can leave the game and return next September? or whenever it is that the DLCs are coming.
So basically, subscriptions fueled the development of the console release for the past 9+ months while receiving no content? Content that we will now have to pay for as DLC.

Getting tired of this old "console launch soon hurrrrr" excuse. There's no excuse for minimal community updates. Especially when your player base is foaming at the mouth on the forums...

Man, it's almost as though they told us 5 months ago that this was going to be the case and it still hasn't changed.

Guys i know you cannot understand just how much the console version means to them so i will link my post from before.
Just please look at it from their point of view and i am telling ya now nothing you say will make content come in until a few months after the console version is in and has settled down.

Um i may pull the mickey out of eso now and then for laughs but they are far from falling off the map.
Im going to link my comment from another thread that should shine a light on things for you guys.
All focus is on the console version bud you see the market for the elder scrolls series is 86 percent console for skyrim so that is where the big money is. They must do what they must to make sure that the release goes well console side and i wouldn't expect dlc for at least a month after as well.
Skyrim units sold in the first 48 hours 3,500,000
Skyrim units sold in the first week release 7,000,000
Skyrim sales in the first week of release $450,000,000
Total Skyrim units sold 23,270,000
Total Skyrim sales revenue $1,390,000,000
Average user review rating 92 / 100
Highest number of concurrent players on Steam 320,000
Skryim Sales By Platform
XBox 360 59 %
Playstation 3 27 %
PC 14 %
So you can see that the console release is really important to them but it should be important to you as well.
Because the income from the consoles is expected to be much more than the pc version thats alot of money to go towards say more devs to push content and bring the rest up ready for release.
Hope this helps:)

I understand why ZOS prefers to shut up.

This makes no sense. The same crap happens in mass media. When someone refuses to comment on a specific issue, the media makes it's own derpy nonsense up.
Staying silent does nothing but fuel lies, breed hatred, and vastly divide the player base.
